    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>The <strong>Security Guard</strong> will be responsible for ensuring the security of the warehouse/distribution center and the things and people in it.  The goal of this position is to detect, deter, observe, and report. </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities/Qualifications</h2>\n<p>The <strong>Security Guard</strong> key responsibilities include: </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Using and monitoring surveillance/camera equipment.</li>\n <li>Keeping a record of all visitors including the time of arrival and departure.</li>\n <li>Patrolling the premises regularly to ensure nothing is out of place.</li>\n <li>Performing scheduled and random checks of designated areas throughout the facility to check for any security breaches.</li>\n <li>Assisting the maintenance staff in security an area during a maintenance emergency.</li>\n <li>Protecting the company’s property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment.</li>\n <li>Responding to alarms within the warehouse.</li>\n <li>Observing and reporting suspicious activities and persons.</li>\n <li>Coordinating with law enforcement in the case of suspected or reported criminal activity.</li>\n <li>Following directions of supervisor and manager.</li>\n <li>Assisting with compliance of company, local, state, and federal safety directives.</li>\n <li>Answering the phone and tracking all yard management services (trucks and deliveries).</li>\n <li>Keeping an eye on the entrance and exits to prevent theft and ensure workplace security.</li>\n <li>Monitoring Win-Pak system and creating badges for temporary employees and new hires and deactivating badges for terminated team members.</li>\n <li>Assigning lockers and issuing locks to team members.</li>\n <li>Issuing and controling all radios that are signed out to team members.</li>\n <li>Performing bag checks whenever team members are leaving the building.</li>\n <li>Ensuring company pets are fed once per shift and have water.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Security Guard</strong> requirements include:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>A high school diploma or equivalent.</li>\n <li>Previous security experience is preferred.</li>\n <li>Quick thinking/assessment and problem-solving skills including people and surroundings.</li>\n <li>Strong attention to detail.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of standard security and safety protocols.</li>\n <li>Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.</li>\n <li>Solid verbal and written communication.</li>\n <li>Listening skills.</li>\n <li>Willingness to learn and enforce safety procedures.</li>\n <li>Comfort with directing people or performing leadership responsibilities.</li>\n <li>Ability to operate emergency equipment and camera/surveillance equipment.</li>\n <li>Ability to work well in a team.</li>\n <li>Ability to work in high-pressure environment.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>About Company</h2>\n<p>Pet Supplies Plus is focused on making it easier to get better products for your pet.
