    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">General Summary:</span>   </p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Perform skilled technical duties relating to the installation and maintenance of broadband facilities and services.  Install, maintain and service customer premise equipment (CPE), telephone, WIFI, wiring, peripherals, and hardware/software.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Essential Job Functions / Certifications:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Install and maintain services on the distribution network from the Central Office switch to the demarcation point.</li>\n<li>Perform all setup, testing and maintenance required for CPE installation of POTS, DSL, and broadband services.</li>\n<li>Install and maintain CPE local area networks (LAN) and Wi-Fi networks.</li>\n<li>Install and maintain network interface devices (NID) and Optical Network Terminals (ONT).</li>\n<li>Perform skilled troubleshooting from the MDF to the demarcation point including CPE.</li>\n<li>Respond to trouble tickets within acceptable company timeframe standards. Including afterhours emergency locates.</li>\n<li>Perform basic outside plant (OSP) testing on trouble tickets.</li>\n<li>Perform advanced troubleshooting on Customer Premise Equipment (CPE).</li>\n<li>Install OSP facilities according to engineered work orders or service orders in compliance with RUS and NEC standards.</li>\n<li>Perform routine preventive maintenance and standard repairs to distribution systems.</li>\n<li>Perform cable/fiber testing and splicing.</li>\n<li>Utilize locating equipment and follow the 8 basic cable locating procedures to ensure accurate, quality locates. Locate and mark facilities according to state Digline standards.</li>\n<li>Ability to navigate and interpret standard telecommunication prints and mapping.</li>\n<li>Meet documentation timeframe standards for closing trouble tickets, service orders, timesheets, etc.</li>\n<li>Record and report all record changes immediately to Service Center.</li>\n<li>Complete inventory replenishment requests as needed.</li>\n<li>Keep service truck clean, organized, and stocked with required inventory to perform job duties.</li>\n<li>Ensures OSP facilities are maintained to RUS and telecom industry standards.</li>\n<li>Performs duties related to FCC regulation compliance and NEC compliance policy. Promotes and adheres to all safety policies and procedures as set forth by all federal, state, and company guidance.</li>\n<li>Be the face of Silver Star Communications, championing the company as a key player in the local community.</li>\n<li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li>\n<li>Provide exceptional customer service.</li>\n<li>Adhere to corporate policies and procedure including but not limited to what is required in the employee handbook.</li>\n<li>Maintain a professional and positive workplace environment and engage in activities that promote Silver Star within the community.</li>\n<li>Ability to obtain and maintain Tower Climbing and Rescue certification with Biennial renewal.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Minimum Education Requirements:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>High School Diploma plus 2 years of experience.</li>\n<li>Ability to hold a valid Wyoming or Idaho Driver's License.</li>\n</ul>",
