    "description": "<h2>General Information</h2>\n<p>The Cowichan Valley Regional District is now accepting applications for casual <strong>Food & Beverage I</strong> opportunities in the Cowichan Lake Recreation Division within the Community Services Department. Reporting to the Food & Beverage Coordinator, the Food & Beverage I is responsible for performing: cashiering, dish washing, bussing, banquet worker, concession attendant, and prep cook activities. Provides services to patrons and ensures their satisfaction.</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Minimum completion of Grade 9 or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience</li>\n <li>Food Safe Basic Certificate</li>\n <li>Serving It Right</li>\n <li>First Aid Level 1 with CPR</li>\n <li>Experience working in a food & beverage environment (kitchen/concession) would be an asset.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>View the full job description listing all the job requirements </p>\n<h2>Hours of Work</h2>\n<p>As this is a casual opportunity, there are no guaranteed hours of work. Due to the nature of the position, the successful candidate must be prepared to work a flexible variety of shifts including days & evenings on weekdays & weekends.</p>\n<h2>Salary</h2>\n<p>This non-union casual opportunity has a wage range in two steps - $20.22 - $21.40 per hour plus 17.2% pay in lieu of vacation, benefits and statutory holidays, as per the Non-Union Wage Scale (2025 rates).</p>\n<h2>Application Instructions</h2>\n<p>Please submit a resume and cover letter by 4:30 p.m. on the closing date indicated above.
