    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>GPC Solar / BESS / DERs - I&amp;C Technician – McGrau Ford, Battery Energy Storage Site</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Location:&nbsp; Ball Ground, GA</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Position Overview:</strong></p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p>The primary purpose of this position is to provide O&amp;M support for GPC R2Gen – McGrau Ford, Battery Energy Storage site located in Ball Ground, GA.&nbsp; The work location for this position will be the McGrau Ford site with the potential to support sister sites if needed.</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p>The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and reliable operation and maintenance of the battery energy storage site.&nbsp; Duties include both monitoring and operation of the assets through SCADA, as well as maintenance activities such as inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs of AC and DC systems.&nbsp; Equipment examples include but are not limited to inverters, battery modules, battery systems, SCADA systems, plant controllers, transformers, switchgear, and metering systems.&nbsp;&nbsp;The successful candidate will work routinely with 600v-1500v DC systems and will need to be familiar with medium-voltage AC systems up to 34.5KV.&nbsp;&nbsp;The candidate will be responsible for all site compliance including contractor administration, environmental, health, and safety.&nbsp; All technicians in this role are required to facilitate and execute LOTO using Generation SafeTK.&nbsp; The successful candidates will use IBM Maximo for planning work, executing work, documenting work, managing inventory, and tracking plant equipment issues.&nbsp;This position could expand into future solar training and solar work based on business needs.</p>\n<p>Typical work schedules for this position may include 5/8s or 4/10s, however, schedules may be adjusted to suit the needs of the business.&nbsp; Must be available for night, weekend, and holiday work as required. This may include storm duty as needed.&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong> Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Working knowledge of industrial or power plant facility operations and maintenance</li>\n <li>Demonstrate knowledge in electrical and mechanical safety</li>\n <li>Demonstrate the understanding of industrial safety practices such as LOTO, switching, maintenance processes, and basic industrial compliance obligations.</li>\n <li>Proficient in reading and understanding electrical schematics and prints.</li>\n <li>Proficient with DC systems and equipment</li>\n <li>Fundamental understanding of medium &amp; high voltage AC systems and equipment</li>\n <li>Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects</li>\n <li>Self-directed, responsible, and accountable</li>\n <li>Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities</li>\n <li>Physical fitness for demanding tasks &nbsp;</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>This position will be assigned to McGrau Ford</li>\n <li>Travel to other sites for support could be required on some basis.</li>\n <li>Assist with planning, coordinating, &amp; scheduling of site maintenance activities and projects</li>\n <li>Execution of site operations and maintenance activities and projects</li>\n <li>Troubleshoot and repair plant equipment</li>\n <li>Site compliance facilitator, and executer&nbsp; (Environmental, Health, and Safety)&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Site contractor compliance facilitator, and executer</li>\n <li>Site – LOTO administrator, facilitator, and executer</li>\n <li>Maximo User – PMs, CMs, CDs, Inventory, PRs, POs, and record keeping</li>\n <li>Participate in team meetings (Morning Meetings, Planning Meetings, Safety Meetings, etc)</li>\n <li>Participate and complete all assigned training</li>\n <li>Effectively communicate with Team Leader and Team Members</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Position Requirements and Preferences</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Required - The successful candidate will be required to live north of Atlanta in a location suitable for business needs</li>\n <li>Required - EEI TECH test qualified</li>\n <li>Required - An approved two-year technical associate’s degree from a certified technical institution or military equivalent</li>\n <li>Required - Must be available for extended work hours including nights and weekends</li>\n <li>Required - Must be flexible, forward-thinking, and strategic minded</li>\n <li>Required - Self-motivated, customer-focused, and can work alone or in a team</li>\n <li>Preferred - Work experience in solar or BESS plant maintenance and operations</li>\n <li>Preferred - Working knowledge of MAXIMO</li>\n <li>Preferred - Working knowledge of SafeTK</li>\n <li>Preferred - Contractor Compliance experience</li>\n <li>Preferred - Knowledge of medium and low voltage distribution system</li>\n</ul>\n<p>If this job is determined to be a critical job, limitations for transferring internally within the Company may apply for a set period of time.
