You’ll collaborate with operational leaders to ensure both employee safety and efficient productivity, designing and implementing policies that align with federal, provincial and local regulations. The role involves ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements while proactively promoting a strong safety culture across the organization. You will work closely with leadership teams to align EHS goals with operational objectives, fostering an environment that prioritizes employee well-being and operational excellence. </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\"><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Key Role Specific Requirements </span> </span><br></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Serve as an advisor for leadership and staff across multiple sites, providing expertise on all EHS-related matters. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Develop and implement robust safety management systems, ensuring adherence to OSHA and Environmental regulations. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Lead the development of comprehensive EHS policies and training programs, fostering a culture of continuous safety improvement.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Support Supervisors in conducting incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions to mitigate risks. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Oversee environmental compliance efforts including waste management, air quality controls, water pollution prevention, hazardous material handling and permitting requirements. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Collaborate with cross-functional teams on safety and environmental improvement initiatives, including new equipment introduction, plant expansions and process changes. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Monitor workplace conditions, conduct regular safety inspections and assess risks through job hazard analysis (JHA) and risk assessments. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Lead safety audits and inspections, coordinating necessary remediation plans to meet regulatory and company standards.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Partner with department managers to drive employee engagement in EHS programs, emphasizing the importance of a safe work environment.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Report key EHS metrics and performance data to senior leadership, recommending strategies for continuous improvement.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Actively participate in sustainability initiatives, promoting environmentally responsible practices.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Occasional availability to support other shifts, including nights or weekends.<br></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Strong knowledge of federal, provincial, and local EHS regulations. <br></span><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\"><span style=\"color: black\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Competencies Required for the Role</span></span><br></span><span style=\"color: rgb(186, 55, 42); font-weight: bold\">ACCOUNTABILITY/EXECUTION </span>– A willingness to accept responsibility or to account for one’s actions.  Accountability is when an individual or a department experiences consequences for their performance or actions. <br><span style=\"color: red\"><span style=\"color: rgb(186, 55, 42); font-weight: bold\">FOSTERING COLLABORATION/TEAMWORK</span> </span>- Is the ability to work jointly with others or together especially in an intellectual endeavor; the ability and desire to work cooperatively with others on a team; as a team leader, the ability to demonstrate interest, skill, and success in getting groups to learn to work together. font-size: 12pt\"><span>CRSP, CSP, CIH or other designation desirable and/or working towards one of these.</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">6+ years of experience managing EHS programs in industrial settings, with expertise in regulatory compliance and risk mitigation.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Strong understanding of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant EHS regulations.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Previous experience in multi-site operations.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif;
