    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Provides on-site emergency medical assistance as required, within EMT scope of practice and performs duties of a Public Safety Officer.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Maintains EMT equipment to ensure a constant state of EMT response readiness.</li>\n <li>Responds to requests for medical assistance.</li>\n <li>Performs thorough patient assessments in accordance with EMT protocols.</li>\n <li>Administers appropriate treatment within EMT Scope of Practice.</li>\n <li>Initiates requests for Advanced Life Support as needed.</li>\n <li>Interacts with ALS personnel and provides seamless interface at transfer of patient care.</li>\n <li>Provides comprehensive documentation of incident contact on PCR and computer data entry.</li>\n <li>Maintains personal skill level through participation with in-service training programs.</li>\n <li>Maintains a professional appearance, attitude, and demeanor in interaction with guests and fellow Team Members.</li>\n <li>Serves as a technician by collecting/processing urine samples for drug testing in accordance with policy/procedures. </li>\n <li>Performs public safety officer duties as assigned, including, but not limited to, visitor escorts to Tribal Gaming Agency and handling lost and found items.</li>\n <li>Upholds a work environment that promotes teamwork, partnership, recognition, mutual respect, and collaboration, while role modeling the company values, behaviors, and culture of One.Team.Chumash.</li>\n <li>Performs other duties as assigned. </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>High School Diploma or GED Certificate.</li>\n <li>Prior EMT experience is preferred. </li>\n <li>Current California State Emergency Medical Technician certification.</li>\n <li>Current CPR Certification.</li>\n <li>Required to pass EMT Skills Evaluation Patient Assessment.  </li>\n <li>Basic computer proficiency utilizing Microsoft applications, e-mail, and internet.</li>\n <li>Willingness to work flexible schedules in a 24/7 work environment, including holidays, nights, and weekends. </li>\n <li>Must apply for, receive, and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Agency.</li>\n <li>Native American hiring preference applies.</li>\n <li><strong>Strategic Thinking:</strong> Understands and processes complex information and exercises sound judgment, considering the situation, the issues, the key players, and the levels of authority involved.
