We pride ourselves on sustainability, operating a fleet of fully electric pool cars powered by renewable energy sources.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>With clients ranging from local authorities, house builders, schools, charities and householders, we offer an exciting variety of projects and the chance to be part of a growing, collaborative team.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Ornithologist to work on a broad variety of projects.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">As an Ornithologist you will:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Undertake ornithological surveys and data collection for a range of projects, including renewable energy and commercial developments.</li>\n<li>Support the preparation of technical reports and ecological assessments under supervision.</li>\n<li>Liaise with colleagues and occasionally with clients or stakeholders to provide accurate information.</li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with relevant ecological legislation and guidance.</li>\n<li>Undertaking other survey types as appropriate to your skill set and career goals.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key requirements:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong knowledge of UK bird species, ecology and distribution, with strong UK bird identification by sight and sound.</li>\n<li>Experience in field ornithology and survey techniques, including Vantage Points, breeding bird surveys, wintering bird surveys, and species-specific surveys.</li>\n<li>Ability to produce clear and accurate data records and contribute to technical reports, including use of mapping software.</li>\n<li>Good communication and teamwork skills.</li>\n<li>Relevant degree in ecology or related discipline.</li>\n<li>Full clean driving license.</li>\n<li>CIEEM membership desirable.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>You will be a flexible, diligent and pro-active person who is motivated to work either alone or as part of a team to consistently high standards. Whilst some site visits and occasional participation in field surveys will be required, this is not a field role. Consultancy experience is required for this role. Candidates will have a relevant degree and preferably be a CIEEM member, as well as a full clean drivers’ license.</p>",
