Ideal for second-year medical students with prior lab experience and strong technical skills.</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Responsibilities and Career Competencies: </span></p>\n<ol>\n<li>Perform isometric tension study experiments, western blotting, co-immunoprecipitation, and knockdown of individual genes with siRNAs in cultured cells and vascular tissues – C, TW, P, CT, CTR, T</li>\n<li>Advise and supervise first-year medical student laboratory fellows in conducting planned experiments – C, TW, P, CT, CTR, T</li>\n</ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Competencies/Skills: </span>Communication (C), Teamwork (TW), Professionalism (P), Career &amp; Self Development (CSD), Critical Thinking (CT), Community Transformation (CTR), Leadership (L), Technology (T)</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Education Requirements: </span>Second-year medical student preferred. At least one year of laboratory research experience required.</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Preferred Skills: </span>Mastery of techniques such as isometric tension study, western blotting, co-immunoprecipitation, siRNA knockdown in cultured cells and vascular tissues.</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Work Schedule: </span>Varies depending on workload.
