Under limited supervision, this Project Engineer will scope and lead mission effectiveness analysis leading to unmanned aircraft system attributes.&nbsp; In addition, this Project Engineer may support technical development of competitive proposals for existing and new DoD customers.<br>&nbsp;<br><strong>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</strong><ul><li>Supports operation of engineering systems and documents any problems.</li><li>Crafts analysis plans and trade studies to derive aircraft system attributes and requirements to achieve desired mission effects.&nbsp; Analysis conducted in a simulation environment which includes aircraft performance models, threat models and mission effects models.</li><li>Establishes trade study criteria appropriate for the problem statement allowing multiple solutions to be evaluated for greatest overall benefit</li><li>Structures analysis methodology and milestones to perform increasingly complex analysis of alternatives, maturing the options showing the most promise until the final study is completed with final performance metrics determined</li><li>Understand unmanned aircraft platform performance tradeoffs such as weight, payload capacity, operational range, cost, survivability, kinetic and non-kinetic effects.</li><li>&nbsp;Familiarity with engineering tools such as Matlab, AFSIM, Simulink, Jira, Confluence or similar tools</li><li>Define approach to select relevant threat information, develop appropriate models for simulation and enhance threat models over time</li><li>Define approach to develop and improve aircraft and mission system effectiveness models</li><li>Management and prioritization of limited analysis resources to best achieve end results required by multiple projects</li><li>Derives leadership vision for mission effectiveness analysis into executable analysis with defined inputs required, assumptions and cost/schedule projection</li><li>Devises new approaches to resolve unusual or complex engineering problems.</li><li>Troubleshoot conflicting design/development requirements, difficult coordination requirements, and special material requirements.</li><li>Understands digital models and can contribute to development of behavioral and/or functional capabilities at the component, subsystem, and system level.</li><li>Provides documentation and makes technical presentations as required.</li><li>May represent the organization as the prime technical contact on small contracts or single component projects.</li><li>Provides direction to design or technical staff to accomplish one or more studies.</li><li>Supports program capture and business development activities including attendance of industry days, generating of white papers, proposal technical volumes and basis of estimates and BOMs for proposal cost volumes</li><li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li><li>Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.</li><li>Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.</li></ul><br>We recognize and appreciate the value and contributions of individuals with diverse backgrounds and experiences and welcome all qualified individuals to apply.<br>&nbsp;",
