Anesthesia Assistants are integral members of the Operating Room (OR) and Peri-Operative/Post-Operative teams.</p><p><strong>Duties</strong></p><ul><li>Participate in the care of surgical patients during general, regional or local anesthesia</li><li>Provide Anesthetic Support for the Operating Room, Peri-Operative &amp; Post-Operative Units</li><li>Coordinate patient treatment plan(s) with multi-disciplinary team(s)</li><li>Institute/maintain Anesthesia Care Plan and/or provide anesthesia support, including but not limited to administering anesthetic gases and medications</li><li>Perform activities such as the provision of conscious sedation; responsible for insertion and management of intravenous and arterial lines</li><li>Constant assessment and evaluative monitoring of the depth of anesthesia, all under the supervision of the Anesthesiologist, and with the use of medical directives or orders, as applicable &#xa0;</li><li>Assists with anesthesia crisis management, as required</li><li>Provides coaching/training/simulations to multi-disciplinary teams</li></ul>",
