attends department meetings and activities, and always represents the University in a positive manner when interacting with the community, alumni, coaches, the media and the general The Graduate Student Coaching Assistant(s) will assist in the teaching and mentoring of team members relative to sport specific skills, NCAA II rules and regulations, individual and team development concepts as well as life skills education under the supervision of the Head Coach of the specified sport.  \\n\\nIf selected, successful, qualified candidates with specific sport skills, will have an opportunity to interview for the following open positions within Athletics:\\n\\n\\n\\tMen’s Basketball\\n\\tWomen’s Basketball\\n\\tMen’s and Women’s Track &amp; Field\\n\\tSoftball\\n\\tWomen’s Soccer\\n\\tMen’s and Women’s Tennis\\n\\n\\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\\n\\nThe essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:\\n\\n\\n\\t Assists the head coach in managing and directing the program.\\n\\tAssists the head coach with all aspects of the program including training, practices, player instruction, game preparation, competing and scheduling.\\n\\tAssists in the coordination of travel arrangements.\\n\\tAssists in completion and processing of paperwork as requested.\\n\\tAssists with recruiting including calling prospective student-athletes, evaluating high school and junior college players, and maintaining accurate records and data bases on the NCAA Compliance Assistant program.\\n\\tWorks cooperatively with personnel in the athletic department, attends department meetings and activities, and always represents the University in a positive manner when interacting with the community, alumni, coaches, the media and the general public.\\n\\tResponsible for abiding by NCAA II compliance rules and legislation as well as educating student-athletes about those rules.\\n\\tFailure to comply by NCAA II rules will be grounds for discipline and/or termination.\\n\\tPerforms other duties as assigned by the Head Coach and the Vice President for Athletics/Athletic Director.\\n\\n\\nThis job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee(s) of this position.
