As an intern, you will be contributing to research projects in collaboration with InstaDeep’s research team and industry partners. Potential topics include the development of machine learning methods for quantum chemistry and their integration within downstream quantum chemistry workflows. Interns in the Research Team regularly publish at top conferences and journals. </span><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Support the efforts of the Atomistic Modelling team through the development of novel methods and applications under the guidance of our Research Team.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Design and implement experiments from proof of concept to benchmarking.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Contribute to team research and publications.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Report and present experimental results and research findings, both internally and externally, verbally and in writing. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Upon request, collaborate with other groups’ activities, including but not limited to presenting the company to new prospective clients, participating in calls and meetings, and representing InstaDeep in conferences/events.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">REQUIREMENTS: </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Currently enrolled in a PhD programme (or recent graduate) in a STEM discipline.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">At least one of the following required, more than one is a plus:</span>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Experience in developing and benchmarking quantum chemistry algorithms</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Demonstrated understanding of quantum mechanics, and quantum information theory</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Experience in running quantum chemistry computations </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Research experience in quantum chemistry, computational chemistry, fundamental physics or mathematics</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Experience in graph neural networks, or extensive experience in machine learning</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">One or more publications (or arXiv pre-prints) related to the research topics listed above</span></li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Programming experience with Python is required, with  further experience in packages such as qiskit, jax, pyscf desirable. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Work permit for France for the duration of the internship.</span></li>\n</ul>",
