If so, we encourage you to apply for our Peer Specialist position at New Hope CORPS!</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #1f1f1f; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px\">As a Peer Specialist, you will:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px\">Serve as a mentor and role model for individuals on their recovery journey.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px\">Connect clients to essential support services.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px\">Lead groups focused on improving wellness and daily living skills.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px\">Advocate for clients and provide peer support.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px\">Assist clients with after-care services and navigating the community.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px\">Contribute to a recovery-oriented culture within our program/team.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #1f1f1f; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px\">This is an entry-level position that welcomes individuals with limited client care experience. We value lived experience and are committed to providing training and support for your professional development.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #1f1f1f; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px\">To be successful, you will:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px\">Have a lived experience of recovery from a serious mental illness or addiction, either personally or from a close family member</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px\">Pass a Level II Background Check or obtain a DCF Exemption from Disqualification within 180 days of hire.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px\">Hold a Peer Specialist Certification from the Florida Certification Board or achieve certification within one year from the hire date.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px\">Possess strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px\">Be empathetic, compassionate, and supportive.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px\">Demonstrate a commitment to teamwork and collaboration.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px\">Be reliable, responsible, and detail-oriented.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px\">Become knowledgeable on the agency's Recovery Community Organization and/or Drop-In Center scope of work.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px\">Hold a valid driver's license and be able to transport clients as needed.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #1f1f1f; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px\">We offer:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px\">Competitive salary: $19-$23 per hour (subject to revision based on experience and performance).</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px\">Comprehensive benefits package: health insurance, 403(b) with matching, paid time off, and more</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px\">Flexible work schedule: including evenings, nights, weekends, and overtime opportunities.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px\">Positive and supportive work environment: focused on professional growth and development.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #1f1f1f; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px\">Make a real impact on the lives of others!
