    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>The Role:</strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:-.3pt;\"><span>The Process Controls Engineer (PCE) will work with Production and Process Improvement Engineers to implement and support automation systems throughout the facility. In this role, the PCE understands the basic plant processes and equipment, and apply the appropriate automation systems to those processes, including programming, hardware and software specifications, and start-up and operations support.&nbsp;</span></p><p style=\"margin-left:-.3pt;\"><span><strong>How You Will Make an Impact:</strong></span></p><p><strong><u>Process Controls Engineer Functional Role</u></strong></p><ul><li><span>Ensures EHS compliance and continuous improvement in EHS performance</span></li><li><span>Leads and coordinates implementation/modification of automation/monitoring systems on multiple platforms: Emerson DeltaV, Emerson Provox, Honeywell TDC3000 Enterprise Historian (Aspen or PI) and PLCs (Rockwell)</span></li><li><span>Implements process control strategies to batch and continuous manufacturing equipment</span></li><li><span>Work with process control engineers from&nbsp;Affiliate manufacturing sites to develop &amp; maintain a set of SiGroup's standards &amp; conventions for best in practice plant automation &amp; process control</span></li><li><span>Provides technical support to Affiliate manufacturing operations and all its personnel</span></li><li><span>Develops training for operations personnel on automation systems and process control strategies</span></li><li><span>Identifies automation project needs and assist with development of the capital budgets</span></li><li><span>Supports site automation systems including activities such as troubleshooting, programming, preventative maintenance, back-ups, systems integration, and future planning</span></li><li><span>Participates in Management of Change (MOC),&nbsp;Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) processes that are related to process control</span></li><li><span>Proposes solutions to address the IT/OT convergence and issue resolution concerning (i.e. cybersecurity, operating system updates, life cycle management)</span></li><li><span>Maintain site automation hardware &amp; process control networks to support the operations of the Rotterdam Junction NY manufacturing site safely &amp; securely through implementing a life cycle plan for the site’s automation infrastructure.</span></li><li><span>Provides technical support for new equipment/process start-ups and operation</span></li><li><span>Participates in the production Tier meetings</span></li><li><span>Track and report monthly metrics (Key Performance Indicators, KPI’s) as well as prepare technical progress reports on active projects and initiatives</span></li><li><span>Satisfy all Corporate Quality Requirements and ISO9001 Quality Management System</span></li><li><span>Practice Responsible Care 14001 through active participation in the Responsible Care Management System and adhere to the Guiding Principles of Responsible Care 14001</span></li><li><span>Any other responsibilities assigned by manager</span></li></ul><p><strong><u>Drive a Culture of Continuous Improvement</u></strong></p><ul><li><span>Partners to drive LEAN/Six Sigma, continuous improvement of processes and operations for increased productivity and efficiency (Operational Excellence)&nbsp;</span></li><li><span>Actively participates in a culture of continuous improvement through collaborative engagement and by providing suggestions in meetings and trainings to improves processes and systems</span></li><li><span>Ensures work is accomplished through defined, measured, and continuously improved work processes; proactively identifies and leverages best practices developed across SI</span></li><li><span>Work with Production, Quality, Global Process Engineering, R&amp;D, Pilot Plant, Sales to identify implement improved process control strategies to batch and continuous manufacturing equipment.</span></li><li><span>Improve processes (reduce cycle, increase batch yields, increase bath quality, decrease manufacturing costs, etc.).</span></li><li><span>Implement continual improvements to increase production equipment reliability as well as create efficiency and sustainability in the process.</span></li></ul><p><strong>Creating Extraordinary Starts With:</strong></p><ul><li><span>BS Chemical or Electrical Engineering or Equivalent Experience</span></li><li><span>Strong MS-Excel, MS-Word and database skills</span></li><li><span>Extensive Process Industry equipment knowledge and experience</span></li><li><span>Clear and concise communication skills – verbal and written</span></li><li><span>Working knowledge of automation standards for process safety, alarm management, batch management, &amp; cybersecurity for industrial control systems.</span></li><li><span>Strong Troubleshooting Skills</span></li></ul><p><strong>What We Value:</strong></p><p>We strive for all employees to nurture physical, mental and emotional health both personally and professionally.
