Full-time employees are eligible for enrollment in our comprehensive benefits plans including healthcare, vacation and sick time, holiday pay, care days, 401(k) plan, maternity and paternity leave, adoption assistance, mission trip time, and more. If this sounds like a place where you would be excited to serve the kingdom of God, we would love for you to join our team.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Learn more about our culture at team.lifeway.com/culture-code</strong> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>This is a remote position in the U.S. with occasional travel to Nashville for in-person team gatherings. </strong>#LI-Remote </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong></strong></p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Lives out Lifeway’s mission and values, showing deep commitment to Kingdom work</li>\n <li>Design and implement frontend application features using React Native. </li>\n <li>Build and maintain automated tests and CI/CD pipelines. </li>\n <li>Troubleshoot issues across mobile and TV platforms. </li>\n <li>Partner with product to break ambiguous requirements into clear stories. </li>\n <li>Review and improve API contracts in collaboration with backend teams. </li>\n <li>Contribute small backend enhancements in Scala (ZIO) or Rust in support of frontend features. </li>\n <li>Evaluate existing software, including legacy components and third-party libraries, and recommend modernization or replacement options. </li>\n <li>Collaborate closely with teammates, product owners, designers, and solution architects to deliver quality experiences. </li>\n <li>Document technical decisions clearly so distributed teammates can act on them.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Education</strong></p>\n<p>Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, <em>required</em></p>\n<p>Masters degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, <em>preferred</em></p>\n<p>Advanced graduate degree (PhD, etc.), <em>not required</em></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Skills, Knowledge, & Experiences, required</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>5+ years of software development and maintenance experience within an IT organization. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Strong experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, and React or React Native. </li>\n <li>Experience with iOS and/or Android development, Git/GitHub, and async communication in distributed environments. </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Actively involved in an evangelical Christian church</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Skills, Knowledge, & Experiences, preferred </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience with Scala and/or Rust preferred but not required</li>\n</ul>",
