Our community focused clinics provide high quality care with affordable standard fees and additional discounts based on income. 🐾 \n\n Here's a snapshot of the job: \n\n Pay: $24 $30 per hour based on experience \n\n Location: St. Paul or Golden Valley clinics \n\n Benefits:   \n\n Health, dental, vision insurance, 401k retirement plan and more!  \n 15+ Days of Paid Time Off, Paid Holidays and Floating Holidays \n Work life balance with no evenings, overnights or weekends \n\n Schedule: Full Time (30 or 40 hours/week) \n\n Shifts will be 7:00am 5:30pm Monday Friday \n\n Application Requirements: Please include current resume \n\n Interview Process: Virtual Interview via Microsoft Teams; followed by on site interview and job shadow \n\n Job Summary: The Veterinary Technician is responsible for providing the care, examination, evaluation, and treatment of animals in accordance with established policies and under the direction of veterinarians.  \n\n Here's what you'd be doing: \n\n Veterinary Care: \n\n Record and monitor animal health. \n Handle and restrain animals. \n Collect samples and perform tests. \n Administer treatments and assist with surgeries. \n Perform dental and diagnostic procedures. \n Maintain cleanliness and sterilize equipment \n\n Client Communication: \n\n Greet clients and obtain histories. \n Discuss medical recommendations and provide aftercare instructions. \n Maintain records and handle client communications. \n\n Communication and Culture: \n\n Promote positive communication and inclusivity. \n\n Technology: \n\n Maintain records and manage schedules using various software. \n\n Join us in making a difference in the lives of animals and the community. Email us at [email protected]. \n\n Requirements\n\n Experience: \n\n Experience as a Veterinary Technician or related schooling. \n\n Veterinary Technician licensure, required. \n\n Skills: \n\n Strong customer service and communication skills. \n\n Strong attention to detail, multi tasking and time management skills. \n\n Proficient with computers, specifically a working knowledge of Microsoft products. \n\n Physical Demands: \n\n Must be able to lift, carry, and handle animals and other items up to 50 lbs. unassisted.  For animals and other items over 50 lbs., assistance from another team member is required.  \n\n Prolonged periods of standing and walking. \n\n Emotional Demands: \n\n Must be comfortable with the emotional aspect of work in the veterinary field and be emotionally resilient. \n Must be comfortable handling a variety of animals with a wide range of behavioral and medical needs, including the use of humane euthanasia. \n\n Transportation: \n\n Reliable transportation, required. \n\n Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required for this role.
