Every home we build reflects exceptional craftsmanship and thoughtful design.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>As a Project Manager, you will work closely with a Superintendent to co-lead both field and office operations. You will be responsible for planning, budgeting, team coordination, and client communication, ensuring each project is executed with precision and care. This is a great opportunity for a proactive leader who thrives in fast-paced, design-driven environments.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Project Management and Scheduling</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead project kickoff, contract buyout, cost tracking, billing, labor projections, change orders, and quality control</li>\n<li>Develop and manage project schedules, including construction sequencing, durations, and look-ahead plans</li>\n<li>Coordinate and document subcontractor scopes, submittals, RFIs, and lead times</li>\n<li>Monitor budget and scope to ensure work is completed on time and under budget</li>\n<li>Provide clear, consistent communication around project decisions and changes</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Risk Management</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Identify and mitigate risks to budget and schedule</li>\n<li>Prepare and manage construction schedules, submittal logs, and meeting agendas</li>\n<li>Lead bi-weekly internal meetings and OAC meetings with consultants and clients</li>\n<li>Track scope changes and ensure cost and schedule implications are addressed in a timely manner</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Client and Team Relationships</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Serve as the main liaison between the client, architect, consultants, and internal teams</li>\n<li>Foster professional, solutions-driven communication throughout the project lifecycle</li>\n<li>Notify leadership of any issues that could impact project delivery or client satisfaction</li>\n<li>Represent MatPel’s values and contribute to company-wide goals and team culture</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Document Control and Closeout</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintain accurate and current documentation, including drawings, submittals, RFIs, and change orders</li>\n<li>Manage digital and hardcopy closeout materials, including as-built drawings, warranties, and manuals</li>\n<li>Participate in After Action Reviews to assess performance against budget and scope</li>\n<li>Support and mentor Assistant Project Managers and oversee the accuracy of their work</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications and Skills</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum of 5 years of experience managing high-end residential construction projects</li>\n<li>Experience with project budgets ranging from $5M to $40M</li>\n<li>Bachelor’s degree preferred; architectural or engineering background is a plus</li>\n<li>Strong understanding of contract language, building codes, and construction technologies</li>\n<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Procore, and Bluebeam is required</li>\n<li>Experience with MS Project or Smartsheet is a strong plus.</li>\n<li>Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and technical documentation</li>\n<li>Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-directed</li>\n<li>Strong written and verbal communication skills</li>\n<li>Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment</li>\n<li>Collaborative and professional leadership style</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Physical Requirements and Work Environment</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to work in both office and active construction site settings</li>\n<li>Must be able to sit at a desk for extended periods, with intermittent standing, walking, bending, and climbing</li>\n<li>Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds</li>\n<li>Comfortable working in varied environmental conditions including heat, cold, and exposure to dust or airborne particles</li>\n<li>Must be able to safely navigate ladders, stairs, and uneven job site terrain</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What We Offer</span></p>\n<p>Our team is comprised of highly skilled, intelligent, and experienced professionals, and it has been growing steadily!</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>We offer a comprehensive and holistic benefits package to keep our team members happy and healthy:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Competitive base salary</li>\n<li>Medical, dental, and vision insurance</li>\n<li>Company-sponsored Health Reimbursement Account (HRA)</li>\n<li>Flexible Spending Accounts for healthcare and dependent care</li>\n<li>Short-term and long-term disability insurance</li>\n<li>Nine paid holidays, paid time off, and sick leave</li>\n<li>Commuter benefits and technology stipend</li>\n<li>Paid training and professional development opportunities</li>\n<li>Long-term growth within a stable, employee-owned company</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>At MatPel Builders, you will help shape some of the most beautiful homes in the San Francisco Bay Area while building a meaningful, long-term career.
