Description

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at our critical access hospital, you will be integral to delivering high-quality patient care in acute care, swing, observation, emergency and long-term care settings. Working under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians, you will provide compassionate nursing care, administer medications, monitor patient health, and collaborate closely with the healthcare team. Essential Job Functions • Supports and models behaviors consistent with Billings Clinic’s mission, vision, values, code of business conduct and service expectations. Meets all mandatory organizational and departmental requirements. Maintains competency in all organizational, departmental and outside agency standards as it relates to the environment, employee, patient safety or job performance. • Provide direct patient care based on the established plan of care. • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers. • Monitor and assess patient conditions, reporting any changes to the registered nurse or physician. • Assist in patient assessments and contribute to developing care plans. • Educate patients and their families about healthcare procedures, treatments, and self-care practices. • Maintain accurate and thorough patient records and documentation. • Adhere to infection control protocols and hospital policies. • Participate actively in interdisciplinary team meetings and patient care conferences. • Respond promptly to emergencies, providing basic life support and first aid as necessary. • Uphold professional and ethical standards of nursing practice. • Performs other duties as assigned or needed to meet the needs of the department/organization. • Supports and models behaviors consistent with Billings Clinic’s mission, vision, values, code of business conduct and service expectations. Meets all mandatory organizational and departmental requirements. Maintains competency in all organizational, departmental and outside agency standards as it relates to the environment, employee, patient safety or job performance. • Performs all other duties as assigned or as needed to meet the needs of the department/organization. Minimum Qualifications Education • Vocational / Technical - Graduate of an approved licensed practical nursing program Experience • Experience in wound care and medication administration • Previous experience in critical access hospital, preferred Certifications and Licenses • Healthcare Provider CPR Certification required - At hire • Current Montana state license as a licensed practical nurse - At hire
