Our primary aluminum facilities produce standard grade and value-added primary aluminum products.&nbsp;</p><p>This is a full-time position (schedule is TBD), located in Mt. Holly, Goose Creek, SC.</p><p><strong>JOB DUTIES</strong>&nbsp;</p><p>As a Maintenance Electrician, you will be responsible for fabricating, installing, inspecting, testing, operating, repairing and maintaining all types of electrical, mechanical and electronic equipment in a safe and orderly manner as directed by a Maintenance Supervisor.</p><p><strong>REQUIREMENTS</strong></p><ul><li><span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Five (5) years industrial electrical maintenance experience.</li><li><span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Formal Apprenticeship or equivalent trades training is desirable.</li><li><span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Vocational or high school graduate or equivalent.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS</strong></p><p>The tasks listed are the most physically demanding tasks required of the Maintenance Electrician position.&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Standing - worker stands on concrete, rock, dirt or equipment (frequent basis)</li><li>Walking - worker is walking on concrete floors, rock, or dirt during the shift (frequent basis)</li><li>Strength&nbsp;<ul><li>Lifting - required to lift various tools, parts, and equipment such as an electrical testing and measuring equipment, conduit, ladders and scaffolding, vibration analyzers, soldering equipment, metal cutting and forming machines, hoisting and rigging equipment. Some of the equipment can weigh up to 50 lbs. Typically the technician is lifting and carrying power tools, drills and hand tools weighing up to 20 lbs.</li><li>Carrying - carries tool kits and calibrating equipment weighing up to 30 lbs., extension ladders</li><li>Pushing/Pulling - minimal</li><li>Climbing - steel ladders (occasional)</li><li>Balancing - good balance is required during ladder climbing, bucket truck work</li><li>Bending - dependent on the maintenance job being performed; the jobs vary from day to day</li><li>Kneeling - occasional</li><li>Crawling - not required</li><li>Reaching - full ROM of UE required</li><li>Handling- good manual dexterity required in repair of circuits, pumps, motors, and working with hand tools and testing equipment&nbsp;</li><li>Squatting - occasional</li><li>Sitting - occasional&nbsp;</li></ul></li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p><ul><li>Must demonstrate the ability to comply with all Century Aluminum and plant PPE requirements and safety protocols.</li><li>Must possess the skills and abilities to work autonomously while conducting routine electrical tasks.</li><li>Familiar with the handling, operation and safe use of all types of electrical equipment including motors, generators, transformers, rectifiers, switches, circuit breakers, relay, control equipment, communication equipment, electronic and fluid controls, power generation, transmission and distribution system, instruments, panel boards, replacement parts and supplies, wire and cable, insulating materials, solder, paint, etc.</li><li>Safe and efficient use of electrical maintenance tools and equipment including electrical testing and measuring equipment. &nbsp;Conduit bending and threading equipment, ladders and scaffolding, vibration analyzers, soldering equipment, metal cutting and forming machines, hoisting and rigging equipment. &nbsp;Hand and power tools common to the trade.</li><li>Read and work from blueprints, sketches, charts, manuals, wiring and schematic diagrams, and other information and instructions. &nbsp;Maintains records and makes reports as necessary.</li><li>Fabricate, install, troubleshoot, dismantle, repair, assemble, inspect, test, maintain, lubricate and operate all electrical and electronic equipment and components, air conditioning equipment, fluid controls, cranes, lighting systems and battery powered equipment.</li><li>Use burning, cutting, welding, soldering, and brazing equipment as required.</li><li>Operate cranes, mobile equipment, and erects and disassembles scaffolding in conjunction with repair work.</li><li>Paint in conjunction with repair work.</li><li>Actively participate in crew and plant safety programs.</li><li>Assist in warehouse parts and inventory control.</li><li>Assist in the upgrade of PM&#39;s and lubes through planning.</li><li>Participate in out-of-schedule working hours, i.e.; fill-ins, breakdowns and overhauls.</li><li>Work rotating shifts.</li><li>Maintain job continuity.</li><li>Communicate freely with the technician/supervisor.</li><li>Utilize computer systems, i.e.; daily time entries in Oracle, functions of the CMMS System.</li><li>Continue to upgrade oneself through education/skills associated with their trade.</li><li>Maintain personal and company tools in a safe and usable condition at all times.</li><li>This position reports to a Maintenance Supervisor.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>SPECIFIC DUTIES FOR SHIFT MAINTENANCE WORKERS</strong></p><ul><li>Exercise extreme caution while working alone on many tasks</li><li>Assist other maintenance shift workers throughout the plant in repair efforts to minimize call-ins of day shift personnel</li><li>Assist assigned crew with execution of planned activities such as PM&#39;s, lubes, or standing work orders as assigned by the maintenance supervisor</li><li>Understand and activate the &quot;Maintenance Help Chain&quot;
