    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>The Manufacturing Engineer position is responsible for supporting production of high end analytical instrumentation at our New Castle, Delaware, facility.  This position is part of a dynamic cross-functional engineering team that investigates defects and drives continuous improvement in our manufacturing processes.\n<h2>Typical tasks of the position include, but are not limited to</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>The manufacturing engineering activities may involve:</li>\n <ul>\n  <li>Theoretical and experimental investigation for failure analysis and qualification of alternate hardware</li>\n  <li>Technical direction and coordination in a manufacturing environment</li>\n  <li>Conception and planning of resources to support hardware requirements</li>\n  <li>The analysis, evaluation, and solution of technical problems encountered in the application of manufacturing methods, facilities, processes, materials and tooling incident to the fabrication and assembly of high-technology instruments</li>\n </ul>\n <li>Responsible for maintaining the design of released products with the goal of continuously improving quality, customer satisfaction,efficiency of production and cost-effectiveness</li>\n <li>Follows established policies and procedures, performs professional manufacturing engineering assignments requiring full use and application of standard manufacturing principles, theories, concepts and techniques</li>\n <li>Analyzes engineering drawings and support documentation for application to project requirements and producibility</li>\n <li>Provides imaginative, detailed, and practical solutions to a wide range of technical problems involving conventional utilization of manufacturing engineering techniques</li>\n <li>Investigates problems that arise in-house and at suppliers during the fabrication, assembly, and test of instruments and develops, evaluates, and implements solutions</li>\n <li>Analyzes problem data for trends to identify and prioritize long-term solutions</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>The successful candidate will have a combination of knowledge, skills, and experience that would include the following</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Minimum of B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field</li>\n <li>3 years or more experience in a related role is preferred</li>\n <li>Comprehensive knowledge and demonstrated application of engineering principles, theories, and procedures used for the development and manufacture of electro-mechanical systems</li>\n <li>Strong communication skills, including excellent writing and presentation skill</li>\n <li>Hands-on problem solver with a passion for continuous improvement of production processes</li>\n <li>Solid understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles</li>\n <li>Proficiency with 2D/3D CAD tools (SolidWorks preferred)</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Company Description</h2>\n<p>Waters Corporation (NYSE:WAT)  is a global leader in life sciences and diagnostics, dedicated to accelerating the benefits of pioneering science through analytical technologies, informatics, and service.
