That means making sure we have the best team available who believe that taking care of our staff is just as important to us as taking care of our patients.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Qualifications of Maintenance Assistant:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>HS diploma or GED</li>\n <li>6 months of maintenance experience </li>\n <li>Sound knowledge of basic plumbing, carpentry, and electrical wiring.</li>\n <li>The ability to safely operate hand and power tools as well as cleaning equipment.</li>\n <li>The ability to lift heavy objects.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities of Maintenance Assistant:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be proficient in performing technical skills required of a maintenance assistant.</li>\n <li>Must be energetic, professional, and reliable.</li>\n <li>Must possess the ability to make independent decisions, to follow instructions, and to accept constructive criticism.</li>\n <li>Receive and follow maintenance schedule or instructions from your supervisor and as outlined in our established maintenance policies and procedures.</li>\n <li>Perform routine maintenance on grounds, parking areas, driveways, etc., by cutting, trimming, policing, sweeping, etc., as directed.</li>\n <li>Perform routine maintenance and repair on the Facility and equipment to include plumbing, plastering, electrical, carpentry, mechanical, etc., as directed, in accordance with established procedures.</li>\n <li>Clean windows and screens, as directed.</li>\n <li>Replace burned out light bulbs, to include, exit lights, overhead lights, fluorescent lights, room call lights, etc., and perform cleaning duties, wherever necessary.</li>\n <li>Service heating and cooling units and systems, as specified by the manufacturer, and in compliance with established policies and procedures.</li>\n <li>Perform unscheduled maintenance tasks as directed.</li>\n <li>Turn in all found articles to your supervisor.</li>\n</ul>",
