    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-size: 18px; font-weight: bold\">About This Role:</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Cardinal is seeking a PLS to join our dynamic and growing team. As a PLS, you will be responsible for proper scheduling, budget, contract, and client interaction for all projects in your service area.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18px; font-weight: bold\">Responsibilities: </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">As a PLS, you will or will be:</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">·        Oversee management of project budgets, estimates, cost control, and schedules.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">·        Oversee the production department of surveyors, project coordinators, and CAD Techs. </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">·        Prepare client invoices, deliverables, and project-related correspondence.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">·        Schedule fieldwork, office work, and project deliverables.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">·        Establish deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor and summarize the progress of projects.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">·        Act as a representative for senior stakeholders at internal and external meetings.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">·        Report project cost and quality control activities to the client.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">·        Prepare contract change orders and supplemental agreements; monitor project budgets.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">·        Planning, directing, and coordinating operations, including project managers, staff surveyors, techs, and field operations.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">·        Prepare work plans, assemble project teams, delegate tasks, and ensure compliance with the scope and timely completion.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">·        Responsible for accuracy, timeliness, and financial performance of assigned projects.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">·        Develop and maintain relationships with existing and new clients.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">·        Evaluate policy and procedures to ensure all deliverables are done accurately and using the most efficient method.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">·        Responsible for survey calculations, analysis and final map checking, review of title data, record drawings research, and client relations.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">·        Collaborate with project team members, including other licensed surveyors, engineers, and technical and survey staff.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">·        Review and process the results of field surveys, including the shape, contour, location, elevation, and dimensions of land features and structures.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">·        Verify the accuracy of field survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">·        Sign and seal survey documents.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">·        Perform business development activities, proposal preparation, project management,  and final quality control for all survey deliverables.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">·        Manage surveying department staff and schedules.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">·        Ensure Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes. Acting safely at all times.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">·        Participate in or conduct and document safety meetings with the crew daily. Host or assist with morning safety meetings. Bring safety and proper working procedure topics up as reminders and ensure all workers are comfortable with the assigned tasks by reviewing their day plan.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">·        Mentor less experienced employees, train them in proper company standards, and ensure more experienced employees are helping to mentor less-skilled workers in proper company standards.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">·        Manage multiple vendors on the purchase of field supplies and tools.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">·        Develop marketing initiatives for their service area and preparation of job proposals.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">·        Maintain firm standards for the preparation of survey and mapping documents.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">·        Provide technical direction and oversight to surveying staff regarding approach and resolution of office/field conflicts.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">·        Manage and approve time-off requests and schedule accordingly. Review timesheets for billing accuracy and approve through accounting software.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">·        Motivate, organize, and supervise managers and employees under their direction.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">·        Conduct performance reviews of employees under their supervision.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">·        Monitor field crew performance and productivity. Make personnel decisions regarding hiring, compensation, training, promotions, discipline, and termination of field staff.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18px; font-weight: bold\">Qualifications:</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">EDUCATION:</span> Graduation from high school or GED. equivalent is required. Additional college coursework or apprenticeship is highly desirable. An advanced degree is preferred. </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">EXPERIENCE:</span> Minimum of four years of land surveying experience, at least two must have been at a senior management level.
