The dock representative is the first point of contact guests have with the company are relied on to set a standard of professionalism and care. This is a high-paced, high-energy position crucial to daily Skagway and Haines-based operations. </span><span> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: windowtext; font-size: 15px\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"color: windowtext; The </span><span>nice thing</span><span> is that Alaska has very generous </span><span>overtime</span> <span>laws</span><span> and the Dock Representative can expect quite a jump in your paycheck size. </span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"color: #222222; font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">LIVING SPACE AND RENT STRUCTURE</span></span> </p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #222222; font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Employee </span>housing is located in downtown Skagway, the grocery store and other attractions are within walking distance from housing. Accommodations consist of shared rooms typically 2-4 beds to a room, although the largest room is a 6-occupant bunkroom. Each house features shared bathrooms, a kitchen area, and living room. Employees residing in housing are expected to respect others and maintain a clean living area. Rent procedures are outlined in the Employee Manual.
