font-weight: bold\">Job duties: </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"><br><span style=\"color: #333333\">Arborist and tree care work scopes in and around Edmonton  and surrounding areas, </span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"><span style=\"color: #333333\">50-75% travel away from home required,</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"><br><span style=\"color: #333333\">Assess trees and shrubs and apply treatments as needed,</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"><br><span style=\"color: #333333\">Plan and construct landscaped environments including trees, shrubs, lawns and other landscape structures,</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"><br><span style=\"color: #333333\">Plant and move trees,</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"><br><span style=\"color: #333333\">Examine trees and shrubs to diagnose problems / disease,</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"><br><span style=\"color: #333333\">Use of chainsaws and other powered hand tools,</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"><br><span style=\"color: #333333\">Pruning and shaping trees,</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"><br><span style=\"color: #333333\">Chipping branches,</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"><br><span style=\"color: #333333\">Grinding tree stumps,</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"><br><span style=\"color: #333333\">Assisting with tree felling,</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"><br><span style=\"color: #333333\">Assisting with ropes and rigging,</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"><br><span style=\"color: #333333\">Aerial lift operation,</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"><br><span style=\"color: #333333\">Operating chainsaws and other tree felling equipment,</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"><br><span style=\"color: #333333\">Delimbing and bucking trees,</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"><br><span style=\"color: #333333\">Climbing trees,</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"><br><span style=\"color: #333333\">Survey and assess designated sites,</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"><br><span style=\"color: #333333\">Examine trees and shrubs to diagnose problems and disease,</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"><br><span style=\"color: #333333\">Apply various treatments such as pruning, spraying, repairing damaged areas and injecting with treatment solutions,</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"><br><span style=\"color: #333333\">Apply fertilizers, fungicides, herbicides, pesticides, and other lawn care products,</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"><br><span style=\"color: #333333\">Operation of leaf blower and debris removal equipment,</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"><br><span style=\"color: #333333\">Follow all OH&amp;S, municipal and traffic legislation and,</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"><br><span style=\"color: #333333\">Operate according to the company’s safety standards,</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"><br><span style=\"color: #333333\">Landscaping Projects,</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"><br><span style=\"color: #333333\">Dependable Team player,</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"><br><span style=\"color: #333333\">Physically fit and able to lift moderate weight (30 – 50 lbs),</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"><br><span style=\"color: #333333\">Snow removal in the winter,</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"><br><span style=\"color: #333333\">Landscape equipment and tools regular maintenance.</span></span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px; font-weight: bold\">Skills / Requirements:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"><span style=\"color: #333333\">UTT or CUA accreditation</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"><br><span style=\"color: #333333\">3+ years of experience as an Arborist.</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"><br><span style=\"color: #333333\">CSTS training (required).</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"><br><span style=\"color: #333333\">Leadership for Safety Excellence training (is an asset); Valid Driver’s (air brakes) license with clean driver’s abstract.</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"><br><span style=\"color: #333333\">Able to successfully complete a drug &amp; alcohol pre-screening and criminal record check.</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"><br><span style=\"color: #333333\">Ability to work long hours (10 – 12 hours per day).</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"><br><span style=\"color: #333333\">Must be able to work in varied and extreme (hot) weather conditions;
