Utilize knowledge of heating and refrigeration theory, and pipefitting.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Location:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>This role is based out of the Smyrna office and serves the metro Atlanta area. </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Essential Functions and Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em>Posting covers Class 3, Class 4 and Class 5 Service Technician. Duties are based on the candidate’s qualifications below.  </em></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Class 3 Service Technician</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Understanding of 5 through 100-ton unitary DX equipment, chilled water air handlers, computer room units (CRAC), Pneumatic and DDC controls.\n  <ul>\n   <li>Demonstrate advanced troubleshooting skills on 100 ton and less unitary DX equipment.</li>\n   <li>Capable of all repairs needed on rooftop package equipment.</li>\n   <li>Perform basic troubleshooting on air-cooled chillers.</li>\n   <li>Troubleshoot and repair water cooled package equipment.</li>\n   <li>Diagnose problems using electrical schematics.</li>\n   <li>Diagnosing refrigerant system issues.</li>\n   <li>Basic understanding variable frequency drives.</li>\n   <li>Diagnose issues with variable air volume equipment (VAV’s/PIU’s)</li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Class 4 Service Technician</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>All skills listed in the Class 3 category above plus the ability to perform trouble shooting and repairs on all types of air-cooled chillers, pumps, and low-pressure boilers.\n  <ul>\n   <li>Advanced troubleshooting on all air-cooled equipment, both unitary and chilled water.</li>\n   <li>Basic understanding of water-cooled chillers.</li>\n   <li>Basic understanding of DDC control systems.</li>\n   <li>Capable of maintaining and repairing cooling towers.</li>\n   <li>Ability to diagnose water flow issues.</li>\n   <li>Proficient with variable frequency drives and starters.</li>\n   <li>Proficient with low pressure boilers.</li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Class 5 Service Technician</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>All skills listed in the Class 3 and Class 4 sections above plus understanding of water-cooled chillers, chilled water systems, large chiller rebuilds, rigging, large boilers, pumps, and assist with technical support to other technicians.\n  <ul>\n   <li>Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair large, water-cooled chillers.</li>\n   <li>Diagnose issues on large boilers with power burners.</li>\n   <li>Advanced diagnosis of air distribution systems (VAV/PIU).</li>\n   <li>Chilled water system distribution and troubleshooting.</li>\n   <li>Troubleshoot and repair/rebuild large pumps.</li>\n   <li>Possess superior system knowledge and advanced troubleshooting skills.</li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Strong written and verbal communication skills.</li>\n <li>Working knowledge of computer and tablets.</li>\n <li>Ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.</li>\n <li>Ability to work well in a team environment.</li>\n <li>Strong adaptability skills.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Required Experience, Certifications, and Education:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.</li>\n <li>Trade/Technical School certification or degree preferred.</li>\n <li>Four to five years plus of commercial/industrial HVAC experience including exposure to control, compound and reciprocating systems as well as refrigerants. Experience level is based on technician classifications described above.</li>\n <li>Valid Driver’s License.</li>\n <li>EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Physical Requirements:</strong></p>\n<p>Must be able to climb ladders, lift and carry 50 or more pounds, distinguish colors for electrical work and tolerate confined spaces. Work will involve heights and seasonal temperature extremes.
