The Bar Supervisor plays a key leadership role in ensuring smooth, efficient, and guest‑focused bar operations by supporting daily service, guiding team members, and upholding the highest standards of product quality and hospitality. Your ability to motivate staff, maintain compliance with beverage, health, and gaming regulations, and oversee operational details ensures each guest enjoys a consistently elevated experience. Through strong communication, hands‑on leadership, and a commitment to safety and service excellence, you help create a welcoming, well‑run environment that reflects the exceptional standards of the Live! brand.
Responsibilities
Where You'll Make an Impact:
Assist with the development and managing of the beverage department budget.
Supervise programs and processes to reduce and control loss time injuries
Schedules staffing levels to maintain consistent levels of employment to ensure a positive guest experience.
Development of staff, to include training, interviewing for new hires, performance management, include disciplinary counseling, and conducting performance evaluations.
Assist with coordination and supervision of department financial data.
Reviews beverage activities and promotions with Beverage Manager.
Monitor and adjust performance to local competition.
Meet with departmental directors and managers as necessary.
Knowledge of Alcohol Beverage Control laws.
Knowledge of Health Department, applicable OSHA Regulations, and Gaming Regulations.
Skills to Help You Succeed:
Excellent service, communication, and organizational skills.
Objective analytical and effective prioritization skills.
Ability to:
Analyze and interpret departmental/company goals.
Manage multiple tasks in stressful environments.
Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.
Communicate effectively in one-on-one, small group and large group situations
Read, write and communicate verbally in English
A consistently demonstrated a high level of integrity, confidentiality, teamwork and positive attitude while achieving departmental/company goals.
Qualifications
Must-Haves:
A two (2)-year degree in related fields or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of two (2) to four (4) years of experience with bar operations, supervising, and processes.
Must be able to obtain and maintain the necessary license as mandated by the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand and ability to sit for long periods of time.
Ability to use hands and fingers to handle and feel; use hands and arms to reach, legs and feet to balance, stoop, kneel or crouch
Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 40 lbs and infrequently lift and/or move up to 40 lbs
Ability to regularly utilize sufficient vision or other powers of observation to review documents and computer screens and organize documents and materials.
