As a Medical Assistant (MA) in our senior living clinic, you’ll play a vital role in supporting our providers and ensuring residents receive compassionate, high-quality care. This is an opportunity to be part of a collaborative team that values your contributions and the impact you make every day.</p>\n<h2>Essential Duties & Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>In this role, you’ll work side-by-side with our Nurse Practitioner (NP) and clinical team to help keep operations running smoothly and enhance the resident experience. Your daily responsibilities may include:</p>\n<ul>\n <li><p><strong>Start the day strong</strong> by updating the clinic census and preparing for resident visits.</p></li>\n <li><p><strong>Support the NP</strong> during rounding by organizing requests from nursing staff and prioritizing daily schedules.</p></li>\n <li><p><strong>Coordinate care</strong> by gathering labs, orders, dietary/pharmacy recommendations, and nursing concerns for NP review.</p></li>\n <li><p><strong>Be hands-on with residents</strong> by obtaining vital signs, documenting medication records (MAR), and collecting key information before visits.</p></li>\n <li><p><strong>Stay organized and efficient</strong> by maintaining medical records, completing chart information, and scribing portions of the EMR as directed.</p></li>\n <li><p><strong>Keep things moving</strong> by answering calls, communicating with staff, and helping the NP manage follow-ups and re-evaluation schedules.</p></li>\n <li><p><strong>Make a difference every day</strong> by ensuring residents feel cared for, providers feel supported, and the clinic runs smoothly.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<h4>Why You’ll Love This Role</h4>\n<ul>\n <li><p>You’ll work in a welcoming, team-oriented environment that values your skills and dedication.</p></li>\n <li><p>Every day is an opportunity to impact the quality of life of our senior residents.</p></li>\n <li><p>You’ll gain hands-on clinical experience and grow your skills while working closely with experienced providers.</p></li>\n <li><p>Your organizational skills and attention to detail will be truly appreciated—because they help us deliver better care.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities</p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Basic medical terminology knowledge required</li>\n <li>Proficient in navigating Electronic Health Records, typing, and general comfort with technology</li>\n <li>Experience in a medical office, both front office and back office, preferred but not required</li>\n <li>Good organizational skills required</li>\n <li>Ability to assess basic vital signs required</li>\n <li>Reliable transportation to/from job sites required</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Education</p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>High School Diploma or equivalent</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Certification</p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Registered or Certified Medical Assistant preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This role requires travel to and from one or more assigned facilities. Depending on the amount of travel required, Curana may in future determine that a valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and an acceptable driving record are required.
