KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES : Ability to read, understand and follow written instructions as well as oral instructions. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with internal and external customers professionally. Basic computer and mathematical skills. Knowledge of warehouse principles and procedures to include but not limited to shipping and receiving, storing materials and inventory management. Knowledge of shipping terms and reading production schedules. Ability to work a flexible schedule including overtime and weekends. Working Conditions / Physical Requirements WORKING CONDITIONS: Warehouse environment working in and around moving equipment. This position may perform activities in an environment that contains hazardous elements and requires safety awareness and adherence to all safety policies and guidelines. Work must be performed in a safe manner for personal protection and for the protection of other team members. All safety procedures, procedures described in SOPs, BPRs, and support the compliance of applicable ISO standards in all functional areas must be followed, enforced, and strictly complied with. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Position requires the ability to stand for a minimum of 3 hours per day; sit, walk, bend over and reach above head for a minimum of an hour a day; lifting or carrying of up to 75 pounds occasionally and repetitive use of hands/arms for writing and computer work. Responsibilities Operate warehouse vehicles to transport material accordingly Inspect incoming shipments of materials, equipment and supplies for compliance with purchase order specifications Identify and report shortages, damaged goods or other discrepancies Process inventory receipts, maintain stock inventory and participate in warehouse inventory control process Create transfer orders and place materials in the marked storage bins Compile and submit samples in accordance with cGMP Distribute incoming shipments according to documented procedures Complete all SAP transactions accurately and in a timely manner Process outbound shipments to ensure the shipment is accurate and meets the customers’ delivery time-frame Read and follow packing list instructions Coordinate freight pick-up with appropriate freight companies Create shipping documents and labels and ensure accurate shipping information Find, pull, transport and stage raw materials needed for production Review production schedule for raw material requirements and communicate discrepancies with the appropriate production personnel Create movement of material documents Clean and properly store crude crystal bags Maintain neat and complete documentation in accordance with cGMP documentation requirements Review the Standard Operating Procedures for the department to stay current on procedural revisions Perform safety checks on forklifts, safety equipment, fire extinguishers and crude crystal bags and record results in the appropriate logbook Maintain a neat and orderly work area Adhere to and follow all required safety procedures including but not limited utilizing all safety equipment and PPE, completing required safety trainings and reporting all observed safety violations or potential concerns Other duties as assigned Salary Range 22 EEO Statement Ajinomoto is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, sex, age, physical or mental disability, national origin, veteran status or any other basis protected by state, federal, or local law.
