We're currently seeking an <strong>Utility Analyst </strong>to work at our Corporate office in Piscataway, NJ</p>\n<p>This position with work directly with the accounts payable department</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Position Summary:</strong></p>\n<p>The Utility Analyst within the Accounts Payable team is responsible for accurately processing, </p>\n<p>validating, and analyzing utility invoices across the residential/commercial portfolio. </p>\n<p>This role plays a critical role in ensuring timely payments, maintaining vendor relationships, </p>\n<p>and supporting the AP department’s efficiency by tracking, reporting, and resolving discrepancies.</p>\n<p>This position will work closely with Property Managers and utility vendors to ensure all invoices are properly coded, approved, and aligned with company policies and financial controls.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This position is an on-site, not remote.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>Responsibilities</p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Review, audit, and process utility invoices (electric, gas, water, sewer) for accuracy and completeness </li>\n <li>Monitor and track utility expenses across multiple properties or locations </li>\n <li>Identify billing discrepancies and work with vendors to resolve issues </li>\n <li>Analyze usage trends and recommend cost-saving initiatives </li>\n <li>Ensure timely and accurate entry of utility invoices into accounting systems (RealPage)</li>\n <li>Reconcile utility accounts and maintain proper documentation </li>\n <li>Collaborate with property managers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure efficient operations </li>\n <li>Support audits and provide requested documentation as needed</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience) </li>\n <li>2+ years of experience in utilities, accounts payable, or financial analysis </li>\n <li>Experience working with utility billing and/or property management systems preferred </li>\n <li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills </li>\n <li>Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis) </li>\n <li>High attention to detail and accuracy </li>\n <li>Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred Skills:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience in real estate/property management industry </li>\n <li>Familiarity with utility expense management and sustainability practices </li>\n <li>Experience with large data sets and reporting tools </li>\n <li>Strong communication and vendor management skills </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Key Competencies:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Attention to Detail </li>\n <li>Analytical Thinking </li>\n <li>Time Management </li>\n <li>Communication Skills </li>\n <li>Problem Solving </li>\n <li>Organizational Skills</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>In return, we offer competitive compensation, along with comprehensive benefits, including medical and dental and vision benefits, life insurance,</p>\n<p>a 401(k) with company match and a corporate team environment with opportunity of advancement.</p>\n<p>Also includes on-site company fitness gym, discounts on housing and home appliances. <em>All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, or protected veteran status.</em></p>\n<p> </p>",
