Description
RESIDENT SERVICE COORDINATOR
The primar y function of the resident services coordinator ( RSC) i s t o effectively ass i st re s ident family members that have requested s u pport in enhancing the quality of th e ir daily lives and in more fu lly and successfully participating i n the educationa l and econom i c mainstream. The posi ti on provides t enants with information about and s upport i ve access to local se r vices and res o urces that can assist th e residents t o achie v e their life opportunities objectives. The resident services coordinator is an integral part of the housing and property team and plays a critica l role in the ove r all pos iti ve maintenanc e of the property for the enjoyment of its residents and the respect of its neighbors.
Responsibilities
Welcome new r es idents (and establis h co n tact with exis t ing resid e nt s) and explain to them the resident ser v ices program, its offerings, and the RSC ro l e i n providing info rm ation and s upp ort in ass i sting res id ents interested in accessing local s ervice resources. Identif y , assess, selec t , develop and maintain referral partnership relation s hips wi t h local servic e resource agenc i es that effectively assist resident s to achieve t heir life oppo rtuniti es objectives. Provide suppo rti ve linkages between residents and referral agency staff when r esidents or agencies request assistance. Work with the property management team when a resident is iden ti fied as being in j eo p a rdy of eviction a nd offer linkages and referral support to the residen t to positively and quickly rectif y th e situation. E s tabli s h re s iden t se r vices program target s . Consi s t e ntl y track a nd me as ure prog r am target progress . R e gu l arly report program outcomes to b oth internal and externa l stakeholders. Analyze and utilize outcomes data as the basis for c o ntinuou s program improvement. Id entify and assess individual and family nee ds when appropriate; inform th e resident of avai l able r esources and provide support in access in g services successfully. Help to facilitate t enant meetings and community - orga n izing and socia l activities if de s ired by residents. Develop supportive professional relationships with residents that help t hem enhance the quality of th eir lives, empower them and encourage them in taking th e s tep s to achieve self-sufficie n cy . When requested, work with propert y management in mediating conflicts between tenants. Comp l ete other housing and resident related assignments as directed by the supervisor.
