Properly maintain equipment and follow all company and Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) policies and procedures. Maintain valid driver's license, CDL preferred and medical card to operate heavy vehicles. Perform quality work with limited supervision on time and on budget.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: black; font-family: 'Verdana',sans-serif; font-size: 10.5pt\"> </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #222222; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; font-size: 11.5pt\">Duties &amp; Responsibilities</span></strong><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; font-size: 11.5pt\">Ensure compliance with all railroad rules and regulations for safety, operations and the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA).</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; font-size: 11.5pt\">Basic track work duties; spiking, anchoring and surfacing</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; font-size: 11.5pt\">Examines work pieces for defects and measures work pieces to ensure conformance with specifications.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; font-size: 11.5pt\">Performs routine preventive maintenance on small and large industrial equipment.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; font-size: 11.5pt\">Detects faulty operation of equipment or defective materials and notifies supervisors.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; font-size: 11.5pt\">Operates equipment per safety policies, rules and regulations.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; font-size: 11.5pt\">Inspects equipment, diagnoses problems and notifies supervisor of the need to the repair equipment.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; font-size: 11.5pt\">Keeps records and prepares reports of maintenance work and cost of work.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; font-size: 11.5pt\">Inspect all equipment daily to ensure proper functionality.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; font-size: 11.5pt\">Perform grinding tasks using power and hand tools.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; font-size: 11.5pt\">Clean work pieces to remove impurities, such as slag, rust and grease.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; font-size: 11.5pt\">Inspect weld after grinding to check for hairline cracks or any visible defects.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; font-size: 11.5pt\">Operate heavy duty trucks to carry equipment to and from the work site.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p> <br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: black; font-family: 'Verdana',sans-serif; font-size: 10.5pt\"> </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: black; font-family: 'Verdana',sans-serif; font-size: 10.5pt\"> </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p> <br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #222222; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; font-size: 11.5pt\">Physical Requirements:</span></strong><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #222222; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; font-size: 11.5pt\">Mobility to participate in frequent travel to and from the project location; ability to operate heavy equipment; lifting of up to 100 pounds in the performance of duties.
