As the first point of contact for guests, you'll play a key role in welcoming them and collecting parking fees. We're looking for detail-oriented, independent, and flexible candidates who maintain enthusiasm in all situations. We offer competitive pay, a fun environment, and flexible hours that often include weekends. Plus, part-time employees become eligible for our Simple IRA after 90 days. If you're ready to make a great first impression and thrive in a dynamic work atmosphere, we'd love to have you on our team!</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide excellent customer service and contribute to the successful execution of events, ensuring @the Grounds is the premier destination in Placer County and the Sacramento region for fairs, festivals, and celebrations.</li>\n<li>Enter data into a computerized cash register system and balance till registers at the end of the day.</li>\n<li>Perform cash handling tasks, including making changes, balancing, and recording the cash drawer.</li>\n<li>Prepare cash for deposit or disbursement.</li>\n<li>Patrol parking areas to prevent vehicle damage, theft, and to monitor for potential hazards.</li>\n<li>Offer assistance to guests, such as giving directions or providing wheelchairs when needed.</li>\n<li>Maintain a clean and orderly parking area, maximizing space usage.</li>\n<li>Direct motorists to parking areas or specific spaces using hand signals or flashlights when necessary.</li>\n<li>Set up and remove barricades to open or close parking areas.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Qualifications</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Knowledge of industry terminology, facility capabilities, and operational procedures.</li>\n<li>Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.</li>\n<li>Work independently and as part of a team.</li>\n<li>Stay calm and effective under pressure or when facing tight schedules.</li>\n<li>Remain flexible and adapt to changing situations as they arise.</li>\n<li>Maintain professional working relationships with clients, employees, exhibitors, and guests.</li>\n<li>Must be able to lift 50 pounds.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Minimum Requirements</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Any combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge and abilities to fulfill the role.</li>\n<li>Possession of, or the ability to obtain, a valid California driver’s license and current automobile insurance.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>Working Conditions:</span><br>This part-timeposition may require extended hours based on business needs, including late nights, weekends, and holidays. The role involves both office and physical work, requiring the employee to sit, talk, hear, handle objects, and stand for extended periods.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>@the Grounds is a non-profit organization managing the @the Grounds campus, home of the Placer County Fair, All-American Speedway, and Event Center @ the Grounds.
