We have Classroom Aide positions available in multiple locations, and we would love to talk with you. &nbsp;Check out what we offer below!&nbsp;</p><h2>SUMMARY</h2><p>The Classroom Aide assists the Head Start teacher with all classroom activities, prepares and serves snacks and lunches, cooperates with the teacher, assistant teacher and other Head Start staff in providing the best possible program. &nbsp;Works with children and families in the classroom and performs other duties as assigned by the teacher.</p><p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS --<em>&nbsp;</em><em>Essential functions, as defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include any of the following representative duties, knowledge, and skills. &nbsp;This list is ILLUSTRATIVE ONLY, and is not a comprehensive listing of all functions and duties performed by incumbents of this class. Employees are required to be in attendance and prepared to begin work at their assigned work location on the specified days and hours. Factors such as regular attendance at the job are not routinely listed in job descriptions, but are an essential function. Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:</em></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Implement the daily lesson plans including Creative Curriculum.</li><li>Observe and assist with child assessments.</li><li>Implement local, state and Head Start federal guidelines.</li><li>Works with children individually and in groups and accompanies the class on field trips.</li><li>Works with teacher and teacher assistant to prepare, serve and clean up snacks and lunches. &nbsp;Participates in meal times.</li><li>Assists the teacher and assistant teacher with cleaning and maintenance of the center.</li><li>Stocks and maintains the inventory of general classroom supplies.</li><li>Assist the teacher with communications to staff and parents to ensure complete services for each child.</li><li>Assists in maintaining a safe indoor and outdoor environment in all aspects of the program.</li><li>Attends team meetings, Head Start and CAP Agency trainings/meetings and other trainings as assigned.</li><li>Welcomes assists and supports parents and other volunteers in the center.</li><li>Assists in planning, organizing and providing child care for Parent Center Committees and Family Events.</li></ul><p><strong>MISSION DRIVEN COMPETENCIES</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Fostering Teamwork</li><li>Continuous Improvement</li><li>Communication</li><li>Building Collaborative Relationships</li><li>Customer Centered</li><li>Analytical Thinking</li><li>Use of Technology and information management</li></ul><h3>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS</h3><h3>Education, Training and Experience Guidelines&nbsp;</h3><p>Prior Early Childhood experience and previous experience working with children with special needs preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience. Have the ability to lift and carry 40 pounds and climb stairs. Applicants must be a minimum of 18 years old and possess a high school diploma/GED.
