Kelvion &ndash; Together, We Shape the Future</p><p><strong>The Role</strong></p><p>Tests and inspects products at Receiving; compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products by performing the following duties.</p><p><strong>What you will be responsible for:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Carry out inspection and test activities in accordance with established quality plans, engineering specifications, and procedures in order to verify that the specified requirements for the product have been met.&nbsp;</li><li>Review Material Test Reports (MTR&rsquo;s) for compliance to Code and customer specifications.&nbsp;</li><li>Perform dimensional and visual inspection and/or testing of incoming materials and products to determine compliance.&nbsp;</li><li>Record the results, which provide evidence that the product has been inspected and/or tested (records should show clearly whether the product has passed or failed in accordance with established criteria).&nbsp;</li><li>The Inspector is required to handle any nonconforming product in accordance with established work instructions and other quality system procedures.</li><li>Must be able to read and interpret Engineering drawings and Customer specifications.</li><li>Must have working knowledge of all industry welding codes and standards including American Society of Mechanical Engineering, Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code Section VIII.</li><li>Working knowledge of Nondestructive Examinations, Heat Treating, Paint and Protective Coatings.</li><li>Must be able to use a variety of precision and non-precision inspection and test equipment.&nbsp;</li><li>Inspector is expected to interface with Manufacturing, Purchasing and Engineering personnel and provide support, if necessary in interpreting and defining product quality criteria.&nbsp;</li><li>This position may also require operating overhead crane and forklift.</li><li>Regular attendance, ability to arrive at work punctually, ability to work on&ndash;site, ability to work overtime.</li><li>Ability to work cooperatively with others, ability to deal respectfully with the public, customers, vendors, other employees, managers, and executive management.</li><li>Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, ability to interchange with others in the department.</li></ul><p><strong><u>COMPETENCY OR POSITION REQUIREMENTS (knowledge, skills, and abilities)</u></strong></p><ul><li>Personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.</li><li>Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, memos, and procedure manuals in English. &nbsp;Ability to write simple correspondence in English. &nbsp; Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. &nbsp;Ability to compute percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.</li><li>Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. &nbsp;Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.</li></ul><p><strong><u>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (required levels)</u></strong></p><ul><li>High school diploma or GED. Experience with calibration of inspection and test equipment preferred Experience in an ISO 9001 environment preferred. Experience with Positive Material Identification (PMI).</li><li>Non Destructive Testing Certification preferred. &nbsp; Experience with PMI and UT thickness testing preferred.
