Maintains tissues, blocks, and slides after examination according to policy. Performs all safety, maintenance and quality control activities appropriate for the technical area including:</p><p>· Specimen Accessioning</p><p>· Specimen Embedding and Microtomy</p><p>· QC/QA Participation</p><p>· Filing of blocks and slides and slide distribution</p><p>· Participation in supply inventory management and ordering if applicable</p><p>· Proper use of LIS; Novopath</p><p>· Utilizing, maintaining, and troubleshooting all equipment; tissue processors (Sakura Tissue-Tek VIP, Sakura Tissue Tek-Prisma 6131 slide stainer and linked automated coverslipper and all histology equipment).</p><p>· H/E and special staining and preparation of solutions</p>",
