    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold\">Advocacy Liaison Internship</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold\">Job summary</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 14px\">will provide meaningful accompaniment to families from the Latinx and immigrant communities. The intern will gain practical work experience in the area of social work, case management, and social human services through a cultural and trauma-informed lens. This intern position supports the promotion of individual growth as well as the empowerment of families and individuals, through connection, advocacy, and case management.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold\">Reports</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 14px\">This position is part of the Community Liaisons team and reports to the Advocacy Community Coordinator. </span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold\">Essential Duties and Responsibilities, per Spanish ability:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 14px\">Conducts intake to new accompaniments who call to La Casita </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 14px\">Acts as a liaison between accompaniments with local/national organizations to connect with resources as needed.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 14px\">Maintains up-to-date documentation on Client Track: Case notes and services.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 14px\">Supports families with food requests, diapers </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 14px\">Supports during outreach events to educate the community on available services</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 14px\">Supporting in other daily Center activities, as needed. Guidelines and expectations can be discussed further during an interview.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold\">Qualifications:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 14px\">Available to work for a full academic year</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 14px\">Fluent Spanish speaking ability</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 14px\">Enroll in the program of Social Work, International Studies, Psychology, and/or other related fields</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 14px\">Experience working with multilingual and multicultural communities.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 14px\">Comfortable working in teams</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 14px\">Ability to work with Gmail, google drive, and zoom</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 14px\">Good communication skills, oral and written</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 14px\">Experience working with the Latinx Community</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 14px\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Our commitment to Language Justice:</span> Language Justice is an ideology stating that all spoken language is valid and should empower rather than oppress.
