Description

Business Development Manager (US) Location: Remote – East Coast | Employment Type: Full-Time Drive growth in one of the fastest-growing areas of pharma. PolyPeptide is expanding its commercial team and seeking a Business Development Manager or Senior Business Development Manager to lead growth across the US market. This is a high-impact, client-facing role focused on building strategic partnerships and driving new business in peptide development and manufacturing. Position Summary In this role, you will be responsible for growing PolyPeptide’s pipeline of development and commercial manufacturing projects by building strong relationships with biotech and pharmaceutical clients. You will act as a trusted partner, guiding customers through the CDMO landscape while positioning PolyPeptide as the partner of choice. This role can be hired at either the Manager or Senior Manager level, depending on experience and track record. Key Responsibilities Drive new business development across US-based biotech and pharma clients Identify, pursue, and close opportunities for custom development and commercial manufacturing projects Build and execute territory and account plans to grow revenue and pipeline Develop strong client relationships and act as a strategic partner and advisor Lead client interactions including presentations, site visits, and negotiations Collaborate cross-functionally with Technical, Project Management, Operations, and Finance teams Manage opportunities through the full sales lifecycle, including CRM tracking and forecasting Represent PolyPeptide at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events Qualifications Business Development Manager Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a scientific or related field 3–5+ years of experience in pharma, biotech, or CDMO/CRO environment Exposure to commercial or client-facing roles Strong communication and relationship-building skills Senior Business Development Manager Master’s or PhD in Life Sciences, Chemistry, or related field preferred 5+ years of proven success in CDMO/CRO or life sciences business development Strong track record of closing complex deals and managing key accounts Deep understanding of the drug development lifecycle and outsourcing strategies What Sets You Apart Strong consultative sales approach and ability to navigate complex organizations Ability to translate technical solutions into business value Highly driven, self-motivated, and results-oriented Comfortable working in a global, matrixed organization Willingness to travel (~50%) to meet clients and grow your network Why Join PolyPeptide Be part of a high-growth, high-demand segment of the pharmaceutical industry Work with innovative clients developing cutting-edge therapies Join a global commercial team with strong technical and operational support Direct impact on revenue growth and strategic partnerships Opportunity to grow into senior commercial leadership roles If you are a driven business development professional looking to make an impact in a rapidly growing market, we encourage you to apply.
