We're seeking highly motivated individuals who are looking for a challenging but rewarding opportunity in supporting US Navy Ships in the Fleet as a Government Contractor. The Subcontract Management group is looking for a Supply Chain Specialist to oversee some of our subcontracts to ensure we effectively deliver major equipment to the Ship.   <strong>Responsibilities include but are not limited to:</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Safety Leadership:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Actively participate in safety initiatives and lead by example. </li>\n <li>Influence and motivate the team to prioritize safety, fostering a positive safety culture.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Project Execution</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Developing ability to draft, evaluate, negotiate and execute complex procurement.</li>\n <li>Conduct market research and review material / services specifications to develop bidders list.</li>\n <li>Develop RFP / RFQ package including the solicitation of appropriate contract / PO type and </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Terms and Conditions.</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Evaluate bids and conduct source selection (collaborate with other departments).</li>\n <li>Conduct negotiation of price as well as Terms and Conditions if necessary.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Training and Development:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Be a continuous and active learner.</li>\n <li>Work to enhance current skills and take initiative to prepare yourself for future roles and career growth. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Team Collaboration and Communication:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Assist and participate in cross departmental communications and information sharing to support organizational alignment.  </li>\n <li>Create strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.  </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Continuous Improvement:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Monitor and assess supplier performance and initiates corrective action when supplier performance does not meet contractual obligations or company expectations.</li>\n <li>Evaluate effectiveness of existing department strategies and make recommendations for improvement as needed. This is a hybrid role</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Required/Preferred Education/Training</h2>\n<p><strong>Supply Chain Specialist II</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Either 2 - 5 years' experience with BS / BA Degree preferably in Business, Finance, or Supply Chain, or a related degree preferred and comparable work experience OR 1 - 4 years’ experience acceptable with MBA or Certification, or direct work experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, Inventory Management, or a related field.</li>\n <li>Works independently with some supervision.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Supply Chain Specialist III</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>4 - 7 years’ experience in related procurement field performing purchasing support, or minimum of B/S or B/A Degree in Business, Finance, or Supply Chain preferred OR 3 - 6 years’ experience in related procurement field performing purchasing support, or minimum of B/S or B/A Degree in Business, Finance or Supply Chain preferred. </li>\n <li>Works independently with little supervision.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Required/Preferred Experience</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to develop a command of complex contract terms in a short amount of time.</li>\n <li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate technical decisions/strategies into business terms and implications.</li>\n <li>Ability to produce clear documentation geared to varied audiences.</li>\n <li>Ability to manage a high volume of work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven work environment.</li>\n <li>Solid project management and organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.</li>\n <li>Positive and energetic with strong cross-functional team experience.</li>\n <li>Strong analytical problem-solving aptitude and financial acumen, including the ability to discuss and monitor associated budgets and expenditures.</li>\n <li>An excellent sense of humor and a high tolerance for uncertainty in the midst of shifting priorities.</li>\n</ul>",
