    "description": "<h2>General Information</h2>\n<p>The Cowichan Valley Regional District is now accepting applications from prospective candidates to join our organization as a casual Food & Beverage II in the Cowichan Lake Recreation Division within the Community Services Department. Reporting to the Food & Beverage Coordinator, the Food & Beverage II effectively performs duties, assigned by the Food & Beverage Coordinator, including cooking and prep cooking, serving, cashiering, washing dishes, bussing tables and performs banquet, concession, cleaning and sanitation work.  The Food & Beverage II provides professional service to patrons ensuring their satisfaction, including responding to inquiries with tact and directing concerns to the appropriate sources.</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Secondary school graduation or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience.  </li>\n <li>Experience in cooking and food preparation, short order cooking, concession-style cooking and banquet work.  </li>\n <li>Food Safe Basic Certificate</li>\n <li>Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License-- employer provided vehicle</li>\n <li>Basic First Aid certificate</li>\n</ul>\n<p>View the full job description listing all the job requirements.</p>\n<h2>Hours of Work</h2>\n<p>As this is a casual opportunity, there are no guaranteed hours of work. Due to the nature of the position, the successful candidate must be prepared to work a flexible variety of shifts including days & evenings on weekdays & weekends.</p>\n<h2>Salary</h2>\n<p>This non-union casual opportunity has a wage range in two steps, $21.03 - $22.24 per hour (2025 rates), as per the Non-Union Wage Scale.</p>\n<h2>Application Instructions</h2>\n<p>Please submit a resume and cover letter by 4:30 p.m. on the closing date indicated above.
