    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><div><div><div><p id=\"isPasted\">The&nbsp;<strong>Instrument and Electrical (I &amp; E) Technician</strong> is responsible for safely maintaining, repairing, and replacing the physical equipment at AMVAC&rsquo;s Axis, AL manufacturing plant. &nbsp;The I&amp;E Technician repairs, or if necessary, replaces the plant equipment in order for the plant to operate on a continuous basis (7x24). We understand that a successful business is built on the strength of its people which is why we are dedicated to nurturing talent, fueling success and cultivating potential.<br><br></p><p><strong>JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</strong><br>Maintain, repair and/or replace the equipment required to operate a chemical manufacturing plant safely and efficiently 24 hours a day / 7 days a week meeting all safety, environmental and regulatory standards.</p><p><strong>Instrumentation</strong></p><ul><li>Understand and provide process instrumentation preventive maintenance procedures</li><li>Fabrication and installation of instrument tubing</li><li>Troubleshooting and calibration of Ph and conductivity transmitters&nbsp;</li><li>Troubleshoot and repair process valves and actuators</li><li>Read blueprints and use loop sheets to repair instrument loops</li><li>Utilize DCS (Honeywell) control systems&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Electrical</strong></p><ul><li>Troubleshoot and the repair of electrical control circuits</li><li>Maintain, repair or replace electric motors and motor starters</li><li>Read and work from blueprints, schematics, P&amp;ID&#39;s, etc...</li><li>Determine motor condition by the use of a megger</li><li>Install conduit and pull wire for electrical circuits safely</li><li>Use electrical hand tools, power tools and testers to install or repair electrical equipment</li><li>Work with production to troubleshoot problems and find solutions</li></ul><p><strong>General</strong></p><ul><li>Communicate with plant personnel; report issues promptly and accurately</li><li>Comply with all regulatory safety and all regulatory environmental requirements</li><li>Insure compliance with all company policies, practices and lawful directives</li><li>Other duties as required<br><br></li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;SKILLS &amp; QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p><ul><li>5+ years&rsquo; work experience as I&amp;E, maintenance electrician or instrument technician</li><li>Relevant experience in a chemical plant or manufacturing environment required</li><li>Honeywell, AB and E&amp;H instrument experience a plus</li><li>Strong communication skills, both written and verbal</li><li>Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)</li><li>Proficient at initial set up, troubleshooting and repairing - &nbsp;Flow indicating equipment; Pressure transmitters; Ph and Conductivity transmitters</li><li>Proficient reading, understanding and working with instrument Loop Drawings and establishing the specifications for instruments and electrical equipment</li><li>Must be prompt, dependable and have a good attendance record</li><li>May be required to work nights and/or weekends as job duties demand</li><li>Participate in the Safety blood draw program if applicable</li><li>Pass post‐offer drug test, background check and other appropriate tests as required &nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Edu</strong><strong>c</strong><strong>a</strong><strong>t</strong><strong>io</strong><strong>n</strong><strong>&nbsp;</strong><strong>Requirement</strong><strong>s</strong></p><ul><li>High School Diploma or equivalent required<br>- Vocational or technical degree preferred</li><li>AIDT Training strongly preferred</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>AMVAC&rsquo;s Employees are offered exceptional BENEFITS including:</strong></p><ul><li>Health insurance including Medical, Dental, Vision</li><li>Life; AD&amp;D Insurance</li><li>Health Savings Account (HSA) &amp; Flexible Spending Account (FSA) options&nbsp;</li><li>401(k) Retirement Savings Plan with employer match</li><li>Employee Stock Purchasing Plan (ESPP)&nbsp;</li><li>Additional benefits include Vacation &amp; Sick time accrual and paid Holidays</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p>We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity in our company.
