Atlanta Technical College (ATC) is seeking highly qualified%0Aapplicants for their Adult Education Adjunct Instructor Youth Build position,%0Ain the Student and Academic Affairs division.%0AThis position is located at ATC’s (Main Campus), which is just south of%0ADowntown Atlanta.
Under the general supervision of the Dean of Industrial and%0ATransportation Technology: 1) Assist with development%0Aand review of program and syllabi, goals and objectives according to approved%0Acurriculum and course syllabi standards. 2) Evaluate and review students%27%0Aprogress in attaining goals and objectives. 3) Advise and counsel students and maintain appropriate advisement records on each student. 4)%0ADemonstrate and insure the use of appropriate and effective teaching%0Atechniques, testing and grading procedures (including proper maintenance of%0Agrade books and any other appropriate record-keeping requirements). 5) Display%0Aexcellent oral and written communication skills. 6) Maintain and review%0Aclassrooms and laboratories in accordance with approved classroom and lab%0Amanagement plans. 7) Maintain and review%0Aprogram certification requirements, as appropriate. 8) Prepare and maintain all required%0Adocumentation and administrative reports. %0A 9) Ensures safety and security requirements are met in the training%0Aarea. 10) Assists with recruitment,%0Aretention and job placement efforts. 11)%0ADemonstrate knowledge of current practices in Plumbing Technology and related%0Afields. 12) Follows and enforces rules and regulations as described by the%0ATechnical College System of Georgia Policy Manual and other policies and%0Aprocedures established by the institution. Applicant must be able to select and%0Aassess student learning outcomes, foster effective learning in both classroom%0Aand lab settings, and promote good public relations via contacts and regular%0Acommunications with business, industry, and the public sector.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: %0A
%0A%0A Certified/ Licensed in residential or%0Acommercial plumbing/pipefitting. Or completion of an equivalent military or%0Acompany-sponsored training program, or an approved apprenticeship program. Must have at least five years proven work experience%0Aas a residential or commercial plumber, working in the different phases of%0Aplumbing in the industry within the past five years. Must demonstrate effective communication skills.
