    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">The Senior Claim Examiner role, under an appropriate level of direction from the manager, investigates, evaluates, and resolves Professional Liability claims while ensuring the highest level of customer service.</p><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\"><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Provide outstanding customer service and work with the insured, broker, and counsel in the adjustment of Professional Liability Claims.</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Identify and evaluate coverage issues, prepare comprehensive coverage letters and analysis.&nbsp;</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Conduct, coordinate, and direct investigation into loss facts and extent of third-party damages.</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Direct and closely monitor assignments to experts and defense counsel.</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Evaluate information on coverage, liability, and damages to determine the extent of exposure to the insured and the company.</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Set reserves within authority or make claim recommendations concerning reserve changes to supervisor.</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Participate in virtual settlement conferences and mediations, with occasional travel as necessary.</p></li></ul><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\"><strong>Education &amp; Experience:</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">2 or more years claims handling or relevant legal/insurance industry experience.</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">College degree or equivalent business experience.</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Experience with Professional Liability or other Financial Lines claims preferred but not required.</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Law degree preferred but not required.&nbsp;</p></li></ul><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\"><strong>Desired Skills:</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Ability to work independently and multi-task&nbsp;</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Ability to deal with customers in a professional manner.</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Excellent negotiation skills.</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Highly organized and responsive.</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Work effectively in a team environment, whether virtual or in-person.</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">If you do not already have one, you will be required to obtain an applicable resident or designated home state adjusters license and possibly additional state licensure.</p></li></ul><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">The pay range for the role is $98,400 to $141,600. The specific offer will depend on an applicant’s skills and other factors.
