    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong><ins>POSITION SUMMARY:&nbsp;</ins></strong></p><p>Under the direction of the department Supervisor, the Electroplater is responsible for performing the plating of metallic parts to enhance corrosion protection and/or abrasion resistance. &nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><strong><u>E</u><ins><u>SS</u>ENTIAL DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES:</ins></strong></p><p>&bull; Plans processes and sequence of the operation to complete plating.&nbsp;</p><p>&bull; Reads and interprets blueprints, sketches or specification to set the voltage and amperage required.&nbsp;</p><p>&bull; Dips the metallic parts into acid tanks to clean parts.&nbsp;</p><p>&bull; Dips the metallic parts into finishing tanks and monitors parts. &nbsp;</p><p>&bull; Performs visual inspection of plated parts as well as inspection tools to ensure uniform plating on all surface areas are completed.&nbsp;</p><p>&bull; Racks parts before and after plating.&nbsp;</p><p>&bull; Logs data into computer for completed parts and processes.&nbsp;</p><p>&bull; Adheres to safety regulations.&nbsp;</p><p>&bull; Performs other duties as assigned. &nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Q</u><ins><u>UA</u>LIFICATIONS &amp; REQUIREMENTS:</ins></strong></p><p>&bull; Ability to communicate, read and understand English.&nbsp;</p><p>&bull; Ability to interpret blueprints and purchase orders.&nbsp;</p><p>&bull; Ability to follow instructions, specifications and plating procedures.&nbsp;</p><p>&bull; Knowledge using calipers, micrometers, pin gauges.&nbsp;</p><p>&bull; Experience of procedures to run acid tanks and equipment set up for plating.&nbsp;</p><p>&bull; Possess good attention to detail to identify problems with parts.&nbsp;</p><p>&bull; Comfortable using a computer for data entry.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><strong><u>I</u><ins><u>TA</u>R REQUIREMENT:</ins></strong>&nbsp;</p><p>Due to ITAR regulations, this position requires that the employee must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident).&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><strong><u>P</u><ins>HYSICAL DEMANDS:</ins></strong></p><p>&bull; Walking/Standing for prolonged periods of time.&nbsp;</p><p>&bull; Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. &nbsp;</p><p>&bull; Exposed to heat, noise and chemical fumes while in production areas.&nbsp;</p><p>&bull; Good hand and eye coordination and movement. &nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>We are an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer.
