Practice and work with us to close the gap to a sustainable future.</p><p><strong>Your new role</strong></p><p>As our new Associate Geotechnical Engineer, you will primarily support the growth of Ramboll’s international mine tailings storage engineering and Global Industry Standard for Tailings Management conformance practice. You may also work on projects in other Ramboll practice areas, such as coal combustion residual (CCR) engineering, contaminated site remediation design, dam engineering, and expert witness support.</p><p>This is a unique position that will provide a new Associate Geotechnical Engineer the opportunity to work on challenging national and international geotechnical projects, while remaining based in St. Louis. Furthermore, significant mentorship will be provided to the new Associate Geotechnical Engineer, providing them with attractive long-term career growth opportunities.</p><p><strong>Your key responsibilities will be:</strong></p><ul><li>Performing geotechnical analyses including slope stability, seepage, static and seismic liquefaction assessments, and settlement analyses.</li><li>Reviewing and interpreting in situ and laboratory testing data to develop design geotechnical parameters.</li><li>Reviewing design, operational, and governance information for tailings storage facilities relative to the Global Industry Standard for Tailings Management.</li><li>Supporting fieldwork projects including groundwater sampling and geotechnical drilling.</li><li>Performing construction quantity takeoffs and cost estimating.</li><li>Supporting report development.</li></ul><p>&#xa0;</p><ul></ul>",

          "text": "<p><strong>About you </strong></p><ul><li>Required<ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Geological Engineering.</li><li>Experience with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.</li><li>Successful completion of Fundamentals of Engineering or completion of test within six months of employment date.&#xa0;</li><li>Coursework or experience with fundamental geotechnical concepts including soil mechanics and slope stability.</li><li>Ability to work semi-independently with limited, but regular, oversight from experienced Ramboll staff.</li><li>Ability to travel approximately 10-20% of the time, with typical trip lengths of up to one week.</li></ul></li><li>Strongly Preferred, but Not Required<ul><li>Master’s Degree in Civil, Geotechnical, or Geological Engineering.</li><li>Coursework in critical state soil mechanics.</li></ul></li><li>Preferred, but Not Required<ul><li>Experience using slope stability analysis software (i.e., SLOPE/W or SLIDE).</li><li>Experience using Computer Aided Design (CAD) software.</li><li>Experience or coursework with advanced geotechnical analysis (i.e., numerical modeling)</li></ul></li></ul>",
