    "description": "<p><span>POSITION: </span>Summer Camp Counselor</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>POSITION OPENING:</span><span> </span>Summer Camp Counselor from June 8, 2026 to July 24, 2026 (Seasonal) / Training is June 1, 2026.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>SCHEDULE: </span>Various Shift Openings; AM Shift/ PM Shift/ Mid-Day Shift/ Floater</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>PRIMARY PURPOSE:</span><span> </span>Assisting with the Camp Directors to run Camp Discovery Summer Camp Program for the duration of summer.  </p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>REQUIREMENTS:</span> This job requires a clear level II background check. References required. Applicant must have reliable transportation to ensure they make it to camp on time.</p>\n<ul>\n<li>High School diploma or equivalent required.</li>\n<li>Minimum one year of experience working with youth.</li>\n<li>Must be 18 years of age or older.</li>\n<li>Must have clean background screening (level 2)<br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>COMPENSATION:</span><span> </span>Compensation is $15.00 to $17.00 per hour, depending on previous experience. Position is hourly. Roughly 40 hours per week - Temporary Employment (6 Weeks). </p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>DUTIES:</span> The successful candidate is a highly motivated, creative, and energetic individual who wants to make a difference in people’s lives and in our community.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>ADDITIONAL DUTIES:</span></p>\n<p>* Plan and implement meaningful activities, lesson plans and special events that are structured, age-appropriate, fun, exciting, challenging, and values based in the areas of arts, Science, Technology, Engineering, Math (STEM), character development, literacy, creative expression, community service, physical fitness and/or nutrition.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>* Perform specific scheduled assignments, including but not limited to, swimming, arrival and / or departure, and lunch duty.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">* Support the planning and implementation of all camp activities, including but not limited to, summer learning initiatives, field trips, in-camp events, and culminating performances.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>* Work cooperatively with all program staff.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>* Promote an inclusive, welcoming, and respectful environment that embraces the diversity of all staff and participants.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>* Create and maintain a strength-based, youth-focused atmosphere that is consistent and sensitive to the needs of participants with learning, emotional or behavioral differences.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>* Maintain accurate program documentation (attendance, sign in / out forms, behavior / incident / accident reports, as appropriate).</p>",
