    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><p data-pasted=\"true\">The Staff Civil Engineer will provide technical leadership to project teams who will be working on planning, evaluation, design and implementation of civil engineering projects. The successful candidate will lead the study-phase and/or design-phase of projects related to the civil, environmental, construction and industrial fields. The Staff Civil Engineer would regularly have interaction with employees outside of their department, regularly have interaction with clients, occasionally interact with the public (agencies, government entities, etc.), and rarely participate in selling to clients. The person in this role will be expected to manage assigned co-ops/interns, while being an example of professional presence, representing the Company and the department in a positive light, and have intermediate level of software knowledge of at least two (2) engineering software packages.&nbsp;</p><p>This role <em>is not&nbsp;</em>required&nbsp;to have&nbsp;a&nbsp;Professional Engineering&nbsp;license.</p><p>&nbsp;<strong>Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>This role will be focused on Roadway Design.&nbsp;</li><li>Consults with and provides guidance to project stakeholders and managerial staff regarding engineering requirements for construction of various designs, and modifications.</li><li>Uses&nbsp;design&nbsp;software&nbsp;and&nbsp;drawing&nbsp;tools&nbsp;to&nbsp;accurately&nbsp;render&nbsp;and&nbsp;communicate designs;&nbsp;plans&nbsp;and designs other necessary improvement related to type of project assigned.</li><li>Sets&nbsp;design specifications&nbsp;by&nbsp;computing&nbsp;appropriate engineering requirements (i.e.&nbsp;-&nbsp;water flow rates, traffic demand, earth work balance, etc.).</li><li>Plans&nbsp;projects&nbsp;based&nbsp;on&nbsp;the&nbsp;analysis&nbsp;of&nbsp;relevant&nbsp;materials&nbsp;such&nbsp;as&nbsp;drawings,&nbsp;blueprints,&nbsp;aerial photography, survey reports, maps, and other geologic and topographical data.</li><li>Drafts and&nbsp;presents reports on&nbsp;topics related&nbsp;to projects such&nbsp;as&nbsp;detention reports&nbsp;and&nbsp;engineering due diligence reports.</li><li>Perform calculations for materials, equipment, and&nbsp;labor needed to determine probable construction cost.</li><li>Collaborates&nbsp;with&nbsp;architects,&nbsp;contractors,&nbsp;and&nbsp;other&nbsp;engineers&nbsp;to&nbsp;ensure&nbsp;projects&nbsp;progress&nbsp;properly.</li><li>Collaborates with surveyors (or directs and participates in surveying) to establish installations or reference points, grades, elevations, and other factors that will affect construction.</li><li>Monitors&nbsp;project&nbsp;progress&nbsp;and&nbsp;ensures&nbsp;design&nbsp;specifications&nbsp;and&nbsp;standards&nbsp;are&nbsp;met.</li><li>Able&nbsp;to&nbsp;teach&nbsp;and&nbsp;explain&nbsp;to&nbsp;others&nbsp;the&nbsp;methodologies&nbsp;used&nbsp;by&nbsp;The&nbsp;Company.</li><li>Intermediate&nbsp;level&nbsp;of&nbsp;understanding&nbsp;of&nbsp;design&nbsp;tools&nbsp;and&nbsp;civil&nbsp;engineering&nbsp;practices.</li><li>Fundamental&nbsp;design&nbsp;of&nbsp;projects&nbsp;for&nbsp;sites.&nbsp;Inclusive&nbsp;of&nbsp;detention&nbsp;design.</li><li>Participate&nbsp;in&nbsp;appropriate meetings,&nbsp;association&nbsp;memberships,&nbsp;and&nbsp;events&nbsp;to establish,&nbsp;develop,&nbsp;and grow networking contacts.</li><li>Performs&nbsp;other&nbsp;related&nbsp;duties&nbsp;as&nbsp;assigned.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;<strong>Qualifications, Education and Experience:</strong>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Civil Engineering or related degree required.</li><li>Three to five (3 to 5) consecutive years of Transportation Engineering experience preferred.</li><li>Execute&nbsp;basic&nbsp;design&nbsp;projects&nbsp;from&nbsp;start&nbsp;to finish&nbsp;as&nbsp;the&nbsp;primary&nbsp;designer&nbsp;of&nbsp;the&nbsp;project.</li><li>Develop&nbsp;baseline&nbsp;knowledge&nbsp;of&nbsp;state&nbsp;and&nbsp;local&nbsp;regulations</li><li>Professional Engineer (PE) licensure preferred, although not required.&nbsp;</li></ul><p>&nbsp;<strong>Required Skill and Abilities:</strong>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Basic understanding of civil engineering principles, practices, and tools.</li><li>Proficient in computer-assisted design (CAD) and other design, data recording, and analyzation software: AutoCAD, Civil3D, MicroStations,OpenRoads.</li><li>Must be able to do Municipal Plan Review.</li><li>Basic understanding of&nbsp;materials, methods, and&nbsp;tools&nbsp;involved in the construction or&nbsp;repair of&nbsp;site&nbsp;and transportation infrastructure improvements.</li><li>Ability&nbsp;to&nbsp;identify&nbsp;and&nbsp;solve complex&nbsp;problems.</li><li>Excellent&nbsp;verbal&nbsp;and&nbsp;written&nbsp;communication&nbsp;skills.</li><li>Ability&nbsp;to&nbsp;be&nbsp;both&nbsp;creative&nbsp;and&nbsp;analytical.</li><li>Extremely&nbsp;detail-oriented&nbsp;and&nbsp;accurate.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;<strong>Physical Requirements:</strong>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Prolonged&nbsp;periods&nbsp;sitting&nbsp;at&nbsp;a&nbsp;desk&nbsp;and&nbsp;working&nbsp;on&nbsp;a&nbsp;computer.</li><li>Must&nbsp;be&nbsp;able&nbsp;to&nbsp;lift&nbsp;up&nbsp;to&nbsp;15&nbsp;pounds&nbsp;at times.</li><li>Must&nbsp;be&nbsp;able&nbsp;to&nbsp;travel&nbsp;to&nbsp;various&nbsp;project&nbsp;sites.</li><li>Must&nbsp;be&nbsp;able&nbsp;to&nbsp;access&nbsp;and&nbsp;navigate&nbsp;job&nbsp;sites&nbsp;and&nbsp;construction&nbsp;areas.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>About The Kleingers Group</strong></p><p>The Kleingers Group provides design solutions for a wide range of public, private, institutional, and corporate clients.
