The Tower OR teammates demonstrate high personal accountability, resilience, teamwork, and continuous learning; we are looking for eager and adaptive personalities to join our team!&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Tower OR is open 24/7, serving as the regions only Level 1 Trauma facility! Therefore, hours will vary and will be discussed/agreed upon based on unit needs at the time of your hire.&nbsp;Nurse must be available to take call and rotate weekends, holidays and off-shifts.</p>\n<p>Our team is equipped to handle any complex or simple procedure that comes through the door, including but not limited to: Neurosurgery, Spine, Orthopedics, Surgical Oncology, Urology, Plastics, Robotics, Gynecology, Pediatrics, ENT, General, Trauma, Thoracic, Vascular, Dental, OMFS, Colorectal, Hepatobiliary and Transplant! Delivers safe, high quality and cost-effective preoperative services. Demonstrates an integrated approach toward case/patient outcomes.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Identifies strategies for cost-effective and efficient practices without compromising preoperative patient safety or outcomes. Promotes creative thinking among staff, peers and colleagues to develop new and innovative devices, practices and strategies to advance and improve preoperative nursing services.</li>\n <li>Serves as primary liaison, clinical lead and resource for the assigned surgical specialty and/or unit while ensuring unit compliance with quality, safety, regulatory requirements and the Joint Commission standards.</li>\n <li>Adheres to all Inova Health System's policies and procedures while coaching staff on compliance and consistently identifying clinical and operational variables affecting patient and case outcomes. Makes clinical decisions based on education and experience while integrating varied patient experiences into clinical decision-making. Mentors team members in identifying intra-operative outcomes.</li>\n <li>Ensures practice improvements by serving as role model, providing direction and providing guidance to others regarding preoperative services and specialty.&nbsp;</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>OR Services Leader</strong>&nbsp;<strong>Requirements:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Required Experience:</strong>&nbsp;Requires a minimum of&nbsp;2 years of OR nursing experience related to the unit’s scope.&nbsp;</li>\n <li><strong>Education:</strong>&nbsp;BSN or Associate's Degree. If RN has an Associate's Degree, must obtain BSN within 2 years of date of hire</li>\n <li><strong>License:&nbsp;</strong>Must be licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse</li>\n <li><strong>Certification:</strong>&nbsp;Basic Life Support with American Heart Association.&nbsp;Specialty certification required within 1year of hire or within 1year of eligibility</li>\n <li>Proficient computer skills are required</li>\n <li>Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills</li>\n <li>Must be highly effective at leading a team and fostering a team environment</li>\n</ul>",
