We are seeking Summer Students to join our team in delivering a fun and engaging Summer Program for children aged 6–12.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\"><br>Under the direction of the Middle Years and Childcare Services Team Lead, Summer Students will provide guidance, and support to children participating in the program. Responsibilities include leading recreational activities, promoting safety, and serving as positive role models. The program includes field trips, outdoor play, and learning. This is an exciting opportunity for secondary students to build leadership skills while making a meaningful impact in the community.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">This is a 7-week term contract for secondary students looking for summer employment. This position has a start date of late June. </span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\"><br></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"color: rgb(192, 0, 0)\">What you'll do </span></span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\"> Support the delivery of activities and experiences that reflect the needs of the children.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Assist in creating a safe, healthy, and inclusive environment—emotionally and physically—by contributing to flexible routines, accurate record keeping, family engagement, and the planning of developmentally appropriate programming.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Participate in daily operational tasks such as meal preparation, cleaning, and general program setup and takedown.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Adhere to center procedures for maintaining health records and administering medication, under supervision.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Promptly report all accidents, injuries, or illnesses to the Supervisor and document incidents according to established procedures.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Follow reporting protocols for suspected cases of child abuse or neglect, in alignment with the center’s policies and in collaboration with the Supervisor.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Support the coordination and supervision of field trips and special daily events to ensure safety and enjoyment for all participants.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Other Duties</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Additional responsibilities as needed to support the community and uphold our shared values.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"color: rgb(192, 0, 0)\">What you Bring </span></span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><br></span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Qualifications</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Enrolled in fulltime High School during 2025-2026 and returning fulltime in September 2026.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">First Aid, Babysitting, Food Safe, certificates would be an asset </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Good communication and relationship-building skills.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Experience working with children.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Ability to work as a member of a team, as well as the ability to effectively interact with children. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Will be responsible for child safety and may be required to lift children alone or in pairs.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt\">Indigenous, status/non-status, on/off reserve who resides within the SASET catchment area</span><br></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Must be willing to participate in physical activities.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Participants must be a minimum of 15 years old and have a SIN Number.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Must have a Bank account and a BC Services Card. </span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Working / Special Conditions</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Initial and ongoing employment is subject to submission of a clear Criminal Record Check to ensure the safety and trust of the communities we serve.
