Across The Three Trusts we have over 400 employees who provide a broad range of social services in Auckland and Rotorua.</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Build your career as a Youth Development Worker within our Youth Housing team. Play a key role in offering comprehensive support to rangatahi aged 16 to 24 who are experiencing homelessness across Tamaki Makaurau. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">About the role|</span> <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Mō te tūranga</span></p>\n<p>Collaborating closely with rangatahi, team leaders, and other youth development workers, you will support the rangatahi with transitioning into permanent accommodation and providing them with wrap-around life skills needed to take their next steps into the future.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Duties | Mahi</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop positive and effective working relationships with the program's participants</li>\n<li>Provide support and guidance to the program's participants.</li>\n<li>Promote and facilitate a sense of community.</li>\n<li>Organise and manage community activities for program participants</li>\n<li>Nurture and maintain relationships with stakeholder organisations</li>\n<li>Maintain up-to-date &amp; accurate programme participant documentation</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Work-related travel: </span>You may be required to travel between Youth Housing Service Site locations in the Auckland area (travel costs covered by Lifewise).</li>\n</ul>\n<p> <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Skills &amp; Experience | Pukenga &amp; wheako</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong cultural awareness and understanding of Maori and Pacific communities</li>\n<li>Experience working in the community sector and with young people</li>\n<li>Qualifications in Youth Development, Social Work, Social Services, or community development</li>\n<li>Proven communication and interpersonal skills</li>\n<li>Experience working young people &amp; understanding of youth development</li>\n<li>Experience in working with rangatahi who present challenging behaviours &amp; have complex needs.</li>\n<li>Demonstrate a high level of ethics and boundaries</li>\n<li>Hold a current full New Zealand driver's License</li>\n</ul>\n<p> <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Culture | Ahurea</span></p>\n<p>At The Three Trusts', we value <em>Arohanui</em>, <em>Maia</em>, <em>Whakaute </em>&amp; <em>Ngākau Pono </em>(compassion, courage, respect, &amp; integrity).</p>\n<p>People choose to align their career with Lifewise because of our dedication to working with and for marginalized people to create a better livelihood, and a commitment to their professional development in a respectful, collaborative, and learning environment. </p>\n<p>All appointments are subject to satisfactory New Zealand police record checks. </p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Closing Date: 20th March 2026</span></p>",
