    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><p data-pasted=\"true\"><strong>Job Overview</strong></p><p>Notre Dame of Maryland University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Business, beginning August 2026. We are seeking candidates who are enthusiastic about working closely with students, committed to high-quality teaching, and interested in contributing to a collaborative department that supports both undergraduate and graduate programs. The successful candidate will teach introductory, intermediate, and advanced business courses in support of the Business major, and will contribute to the Master of Arts in Leadership and Management program. &nbsp;Preference will be given to candidates with the ability to teach Marketing and Business Research Methods.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Job Description</strong></p><p><strong>Teaching Responsibilities</strong></p><p>Courses may include, but are not limited to:</p><ul><li>Principles of Marketing</li><li>Teamwork and Negotiations</li><li>Business Research</li><li>Entrepreneurship</li><li>Consumer Behavior</li><li>Graduate business courses in Business Ethics, Research Methods as well.</li></ul><p>The standard teaching load is 4&ndash;3. Most instruction is face-to-face, with occasional online teaching. Familiarity with Canvas or comparable learning management systems is a plus.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Student Engagement and Service</strong></p><p>Notre Dame of Maryland University values faculty who see teaching as both an instructional and mentoring endeavor. Responsibilities include:</p><ul><li>Academic and career advising for undergraduate and graduate students</li><li>Mentoring students and supporting student success inside and outside the classroom</li><li>Serving as faculty mentor to the Business &amp; Economics Society (student organization)</li><li>Participating in program development and modification to reflect changes in the contemporary work environment</li><li>Serving on University and departmental committees</li></ul><p>The successful candidate will also be expected to maintain an active scholarly agenda appropriate to a tenure-track position.</p><p>Following an initial period of service, the faculty member will be expected to assume department chair responsibilities after approximately three years, providing leadership in curriculum, assessment, and faculty collaboration.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Ph.D. or DBA in Business or a closely related field; no ABDs need apply.</li><li>Authorization to work in the United States (visa sponsorship is not available at this time)</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and related software tools</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong><em><u>All applicants MUST submit the following</u></em></strong><strong><em>:</em></strong></p><ol start=\"1\" type=\"1\"><li><em>Letter of application</em></li><li><em>Curriculum vitae</em></li><li><em>Statement of teaching philosophy addressing how the teaching philosophy reflects the university mission</em></li></ol><p><br><em>Review of applications will begin immediately upon receipt.
